Hi swappers! I am taking over hosting this monthly swap from isabellasnow for right now. This swap is for a handmade journal that you create. The theme is sender's choice, but it's still always nice to look at your partner's profile to see their likes and dislikes. Just to change it up a bit, here are suggested colors for each month, however it's not mandatory that you use these colors if you don't want to use them. Apr. - turquoise May - purple June - yellow July - pink Aug. - navy Sept. - black/white Oct. - brown/neutral Nov. - orange/rust/brown/amber Dec. - red The minimum size for the journal is 5.5" wide by 8.5" tall (standard 8.5"x11" paper would work for this--just turn it sideways and fold). Please decorate the journal cover and don't just leave it as a plain piece of paper. You can bind the journal however youโd like. There are loads of YouTube tutorials on binding styles for handmade journals. Pamphlet stitch is probably the easiest, but you can use anything you like for your binding. The journal must have a minimum of at least 8 UNFOLDED pages. This means a stack of 8 entire 8.5"x11" pages, which will double the page count when folded. You may use an assortment of papers for the journal you create--not all of them will have the same measurement; however, the cover should measure approximately 5.5"x8.5". Please leave plenty of room for journaling. You MUST include decorations, embellishments, tuck spots, pull-outs, pockets, tags, etc. and ephemera to your journal for fun interactive journaling. Please do not simply bind several pieces of paper together and deem it good enough. Please make something that you would be happy to receive in return. There are tons of YouTube videos that show the various embellishments that can go into a journal. If you're not sure what to do, ask questions and watch the videos. Hope to see you in the swap! | |
