There is something deeply personal about a well-loved cookbook. Maybe it is the book you reach for every holiday season, the baking book covered in flour from years of use, or the cookbook that introduced you to a recipe you now make by heart.

Welcome to Cookbook Club, a swap series for cookbook lovers, home bakers, collectors, and anyone who believes recipes tell stories. The idea is simple: choose a cookbook you genuinely love and share it with your partner along with a little note about why you chose it. Think of it as equal parts book swap, recipe recommendation, and a chance to share a little piece of your kitchen with someone new.

Your Swap Assignment:

Send your partner one cookbook that you personally love and recommend. This is sender’s choice, but please take a few minutes to look through your partner’s profile so you can choose something that fits their interests and tastes when possible.

Your cookbook can be: • Brand new and shipped directly from a retailer like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, etc. • Gently used from your personal collection or sourced secondhand • Used books must be in good, clean condition with no major damage, missing pages, excessive wear, stains, odors, or heavy writing inside

There’s no set dollar amount, but send something you would want to receive. A good range is $15-25 on Amazon if you were to buy it new.

In addition to the book, send your partner a Swap-bot message sharing: • Why you chose this cookbook • What you personally love about it • A few favorite recipes you have made (or are excited to try)

This is meant to feel like getting a recommendation from a friend who is inviting you into a little corner of their kitchen.

Swap Requirements:

• Must have completed at least 10 Type 3 swaps • No recent unexplained 1 ratings • No recent 3 ratings indicating unresolved issues • Must have a well-filled-out profile, since partners will be reviewing profiles when selecting books • New swappers with limited history will unfortunately not be able to join this round • This is a USA-only regional swap due to shipping costs
