Description:

Hellohello!

I know I'm new here, so please don't join if you're not comfortable. I noticed that there aren't much kitchen/baking swaps going about so I'm starting this because I'm really really interested in kitchen stuff.

So here's the catch. We'll all have one partner each so it'll be more personal and so that we can spend more time and love into getting each other stuff. It'll be limited to $5 so it doesn't have to be anything big. Cookie cutter/spatula/oven mitts/recipe book etc. I'm gonna leave it to sender's choice, but if you're particularly into a certain type of cooking, please state below in a comment. Also, if you really don't wish to receive a particular something, please state below as well.

The fun/challenge in this is to be able to shop below or close to the budget, and still get something interesting and hopefully unique for your swap partners. I'm not gonna specify exactly what you should do to get a heart, but well, as long as we put in the effort, I'm sure we'll come up with something nice to touch our partners!

I'm gonna make this an international swap so we can get a wider variety of things. However, this means that postage will be an issue so please try and keep postage to a minimal and surprises to a maximum. Things like cookie cutters and recipes and oven mitts (although this swap isn't limited to things like that) aren't that heavy to send out and more often than not can be sent out as a flat package.

I'm opening this up to newbies as well, so please don't make me lose trust in you ok? I won't be able to angel this swap, so if anyone is able to (hopefully we don't need angels), please do let me know. Having said that, I will screen, screen, and DOUBLE SCREEN profiles before allowing you in the swap. No profile, no swap, sorry dear. You'll also need to have an average of 5 to take part in this. Strictly no 3s and 1s.

Do note that this swap will be canceled if response isn't great.

HAPPY KITCHEN SWAPPING!

are handmade items alright here?

tuesdae1 06/20/2009 #

I'm watching this.

Hey MommyKnows,

Yupp, handmade items are definitely alright for me, as long as they are of a good quality and usable. Make sure what you send is something that you would like to receive (: We don't want things breaking down after one or two uses. But in short, handmade = unique therefore its ok ((: I hope you enjoy the swap!

Ooo...how fun! I primarily bake but do some other cooking too. This is a fantastic idea!

Great idea!!! I need a cute ice cream spoon ,if my partner could get one for me it would be great!!!

I think that would be neat to get something from out of the country

I like baking over cooking. I would really love to get a bento box. I also love to get something from your country. My kitchen has a lavender color but I don't stick to that, I love the artistic mess my home is.

I'd like pink items if possible, I especially would like pink cooking utensils or a cute ice cream spoon as well!

I have some info in my profile on my likes/dislikes. Just wanted to add that although I cook & eat a LOT of asian food, please don't send me chopsticks or chopstick rests, I am drowning in them. Other than that - I love surprises! Thanks :)

Cupcakexcore 06/29/2009 #

I like fun items and unique things that not everyone would have in their kitchen. like an avocado slicer (I have one already, but it is a good example). I like surprises so if you have me I will be happy with what you think I need ^^ thank you so much!!

i would love something red (as it's my favourite colour), if it was at all possible, but anything at all is fine really :D
