Description:

This is an ATC swap using found objects. The base can be anything you desire (fabric, cards, found object) but should stick to the standard ATC size.

The idea then is to go outside and just walk and look, you can look in industrial areas, nature (do not pick protected plants or poison ivy please) and then use these items in an ATC. You will have 2 partners and send them 4 ACT's each for a total of 8.

Anybody welcome with a filled profile and at least 3 mail swaps

LOL... poison ivy... thanks for the giggle! i'll be going camping mid-August, and i'll be able to find tons of cool things around the campground! i'll try not to add too much sap, either ;-)

cool! I thought I would make the deadline pretty long to allow us to find all sorts of things to use

In reply to a question I had; The background can be whatever you would like it to be, my main idea is to get people out in touch with their surroundings. I would like the ATC to be at least 50% found objects though.

In addition: you can embellish the found object as well. They are your found objects and your art,, as long as your ATC is 50% found, do what you like to it.

The only thing I find when walking Frito is the neighborhood kid's trash....popsicle sticks, empty icepop thingys, cans and bottles (which I try to recycle) AND other things that are unidentifiable. LOL!

I got lucky and live in a diverse area. On my walk home from work I found so many different newspapers on the ground fresh and ready to use. I'm going to start collecting my ephemera from the ground! With ink accents and image transfers no one will ever know. I started collecting early because I was afraid I wouldn't find anything. I've found colorful papers/ads, things in other languages, dropped notes, tree bark, paint chips, parking tickets, and cardboard to name a few.

I did find lots of things I DONT want to receive. Pls no items with traces of food, anything that could have been in some one's mouth, or anything gross like band-aids. ><

Im gonna take a trip to the beach; so far in my neighborhood I've found needles, spent shotgun shells, brass casings from bullets and other not so nice things. So, Im hitting the park in one of the nice areas and the beach. Don't worry, wont use seagull poo. LOL

I personally wouldn't mind bullet casings...but what kind of area do you live in?!

I live in the poorest neighborhood in my city; Its pretty rough at night but ok as long as you keep the doors locked. But I went on vacation this past weekend and there was a parade. Got lots of goodies to use!

That sounds like fun! Had to walk home with a heavy bag strapped to my back but it was made bearable by the opportunity to collect more goodies. Still finding things that I would not want to pick up off the ground though :/ Pls no bird feathers unless you have sterilized them.
