Description:

I love this group, I just love being around you all - I never thought this group grew so fast, never even thought that so much people would be interested! Thanks for being here!

So I want to spread some group-love here and thought about what to do. And I came up with an idea that sounds terrific to me, so I'll just test the waters. ;-)

This christmas-thing is not about gifts, yeah, blabla - but who doesn't love to get them?

So this is a swap where you have one partner, and you will make a gift for him/ her. MAKE, not buy - no buying allowed. Because you are a good person, you will make it profile-based, so everyone participating, please check your profiles with the eyes of your future partner and see if it is helpful.

What you make - well. First, I wanted to set this up as a mini-zine-swap, so you would make a mini-zine about a theme your partner loves (a profile-based zine, so to say), but then Mail Art came to my mind. You could also do something mail-artsy, of course! And from there, I just open it up: Do whatever you like, what your Art/ Craft is. But PLEASE, with all due respect to bookmarks and ATCs: This is a "package" swap, no "flat mail" one (not meaning the format of the thing you send, but the effort and time and swap-love you put in there), so please don't make "just" one bookmark or one ATC; some more swap-love has to go in your gift. I trust you guys enough to leave you lots of room here - just use swap-honour.

As you have to wait until you can see your partner before you can start making your partner's gift, I'll make the sign-up short; I don't want to set the sent-date too late because I would love the gift to have arrived before christmas and postal-systems just thrive on christmas. ;-)

Note to all no-christian-people (see, I learn!): This swap is SO not about the actual religious Christmas - I unapologetically use christmas here as an excuse to help spread and receive gifts. :-D Everybody, christian or not, is invited to join, as I am sure you are also allowed to give gifts for Chanukka, Midwinter and what ever else you are doing this time of year. ;-)

I will not promote this swap elsewhere as this is just to celebrate us. :-)

Should there be any problems or questions, please PM me.

So as always: Use swap-honour, spread swap-love and have fun swapping!

I really like this idea - especially with all the creativity I know there is in this group :-). Unfortunately, my time (& dashboard!) is totally booked up at the moment. Maybe you'll run something similar in the new year...? We all get presents at Christmas, anyway - far more fun to get gifts at a completely unexpected time of year! ;-)

You have a point there. :-)

So we meet again for gifting next year, I think. :-)
