Description:

For the last 24 years I have had to deal with the fact that my birthday is on April Fools. I have learned to make it a fun and exciting day. Often a day that is filled with pranks :) This swap will be to make an April Fools Button Fairy.

What is that, you might ask? Really the possibilities are endless. You will make a button fairy but make it as odd or crazy or just plain hilarious as you want. Do things you normally wouldn't do or see on a button fairy. In the same sense, make it cute and something you would like the other person to show off. Make it a good quality item that you would like to receive yourself. I tried out some ideas and am going to list a few here. You DO NOT have to choose these. These are just ideas for you so you can kind of get an idea at what I am going at: 80s, Sock Monkey paper wings with a sock monkey for the body and face, Chatter-teeth, Owls, a Movie star, and music paper wings with a musician for the face and body. Animals, Random things, People not normally seen on a button fairy. I hope this helps as ideas to do. Just anything goofy and random would work perfect. I did mine (might keep this one and make another exactly alike it since it is quite a ways away, lol) and it is pretty funny. Sign up if you have a sense of humor and can laugh at the funny random things in life!

Requirements: -Make it sturdy so it can make it to your partner safely -Make sure it has a hanger on it so it can be hung up and shown off -You may use embellishments -Any colors can be used -Make sure the tail has enough buttons on it (not too short) -Have fun! -Be creative!

There are many photos on Flickr on button fairies and there is also a fantastic tutorial on how to make them here:

You will be sending one button fairy to one partner. I am going to make this international since these are fairly light to ship and won't cost much. If someone would like the dates changed for any reason, please let me know. I welcome all ideas and thoughts. This is not profile based, so go ahead and get started on this early if you would like.

I am asking that you must have at least a 4.8. No 1s or 3s within the past few months and if you do have any, they must be explained. I understand crap happens but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try and fix them. I will scan through profiles and ban if necessary. If you are a newbie and are very interested in this swap or someone who is afraid to jump right into a button fairy swap, please PM and I could possibly set up a private swap.

This needs to be mailed in a bubble envie. You don't want it to be ruined during the ship. I always ship mine in a bubble enive and then sandwiched between two food box cut-outs. Nothing too heavy duty to weight it down, a cereal box or other food box will work just fine.

Have Fun!
