Description:

I have created this swap for all the linguists out there. This is open to those who are bilingual or multilingual i.e. know at least 2 languages. Please write at least an A4 sized page of 'basic' vocabulary to introduce one foreign language that you are proficient in , for example, so it is like a 'teaching' lesson. and then , please write the English equivalent of each of the words/phrases. Participants are also required to enclose a small gift that they think their partners will like. This could be language related or something else. Have fun swapping! Newbies welcome.

Wish I remembered enough French to participate. Would hate to botch it up, then get a partner who is fluent! Nice idea for a swap though.

Does ASL count? I have some fun vocab, my baby brother is nonverbal but can manage signing pretty well so the entire family is learning it and I used to be deaf. I also have a couple foreign languages as options but find signing to be much more fun.

Sorry, just foreign languages this time round.....I thought it would be fun to see what sort of languages people know.

I speak Spanish and I'm learning Italian - this sounds right up my alley. Can't wait to see what language I get to learn a bit of!

What size is "A4"...?

A4 is 210 x 297 mm

Great idea! Catalan is my mother tongue (I live in Catalonia, Spain), so I'm going to use it for this swap :)

I LOVE this idea - just don't have time right now! I hope someone will repeat this in the future!

Great swap idea!

A4 is very similar in size to 'letter' and 'legal' in the US. I think it's closer to 'letter' paper. Whatever you usually use in a photocopier, anyway.

I would love to get ASL, @winterwindarts Are you interested in a private swap, perchance? Please message me if you are. :)
