Description:

These hard little canvases can be so much fun. They're versatile - can be used alone, made into jewelry, and incorporated into future art. The possibilities are really endless.

When you sign up, please note below if you want to receive a domino for jewelry (with holes) or not. (If you have me for a partner, I'd prefer one with holes). You can find both types at craft stores and rubber stamping stores. If you cannot find dominos in your area, there are several online stores which sell them drilled and undrilled - Your ATC Store - carries both types.

You will have 1 partner and send your partner 1 altered domino. This should keep postage down and if this swap is popular, I will do another one based on a theme. For this swap, it's SENDER's choice - but do review your partner's profile so the package will be special.

This would be super cool to get a whole set so we could play with them. I love dominos!

the link above is not working.

aguasulis 02/ 3/2010 #

Thank you slewis234 - I have fixed the link. Vendetti, how many would you consider "a set?"

Vendetti 02/ 3/2010 #

Oh. I think there are like 24 dominos in a set. But there would have to be numbers on them to play the game.

This sounds like fun. Thanks for creating!

What size domino are we using? I have seen a bunch of different sizes.

wolfeagle 02/ 8/2010 #

Mine can be with or without holes, up to the sender and what they choose to make. Thank you for starting this swap.

Any size domino is fine! Just not those huge ones for toddlers. ;-)

ShandaPanda 02/15/2010 #

Drilled or not is fine with me. Whatever my partner wants to do with it!

I prefer mine to have a hole or bead glued to the top so I can wear your art work! Take a look at some of my domino jewelry @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/jnzatc/ I Love making them!

Thanks for your post @jnzalteredart Your work provides a perfect example of what we're going for. I encourage everyone to check out JnzAlteredArt's Flickr site for additional ideas and examples.

I'd prefer mine to have a hole or bail so that I can hang it, but don't worry if it doesn't : )

Your Welcome! I love to sit @ my desk & make Domino Jewelry! I drill all my own holes in them or I glue a bead to the top. I also seal mine with a product called Glossy Accents It makes it very durable for wearing. I am so excited to see what evryone comes up with!
