i wish this wasn't usa-only. i'd love to get a page colored by kid! so cute!

It is pretty cheap to send a single sheet letter overseas. Do you think you could make this international? =(

Gofeen 03/ 6/2010 #

I'd like it to be international too and please can the paper not be folded for shippin?. Mabye send it in a photograph envelope. I'd hate to see anyone's work spoiled by spoiled by creases? Watching for now till I see if it changes to international.

OnceInABlueMoon 03/ 6/2010 #

I get artwork home from school all the time that's been folded or scrunched - and it's still wonderful. I personally would not mind it being folded...

Zion 03/ 6/2010 #

Id be happy to host an international

angelstar 03/ 6/2010 #

Ahhhhh.... Here I am.
Like I said on the International swap, with another host, I'd rather do this one.
:-)

angelstar 03/ 6/2010 #

I have no children or grandchildren, so I will color in something cool myself!

angelstar 03/ 6/2010 #

I'm going to send mine in a regular business size envelope.
Hope that's okay.

badandknowsit2 03/ 6/2010 #

ok i will make this international but i cant promise no creases that is asking a bit much for children and its gonna run postage up but that will be up to ur sender

angelstar 03/ 6/2010 #

Oh well, that sends me away. Bye...

GenjiPomf 03/ 6/2010 #

Can this be our own designed pages or does it have to be from an actual coloring book?

rubyhousesliprs 03/ 7/2010 #

I'd like my daughter to join but not if people are going to get crazy about it like saying "no creases in the paper" and stuff. I think it's selfish when people start demanding things when this is for kids.

badandknowsit2 03/ 7/2010 #

thats why i said no to that shabby crayons u can design your own

Gofeen 03/ 7/2010 #

Actually I don't think it's selfish at all to ask children not to fold their picture. I'm not talking about the odd inevitable crease as they are actually colouring in. I mean folding the paper after they have finished working on it. I taught primary school childen, 4-12 years old for 28 years and one of the things I impressed on them was presentation and to take pride in their work. After spending some time working on a project, deciding on colours, colouring it in, putting their heart into it, then surely the children deserve the respect and affirmation from their parent or care to show them how to present their work nicely? Also I don't think it's such a bad idea for the children to respect the recipient by presenting it nicely? That's another thing I tried to inpart to my children. It infact helps them to have more pride and pleasure in what they are doing which will then transfer into other areas of their life. In the draw me a picture swap a month or two ago I got an absolutely fantastic drawing from my partner that I want to frame and keep for ever but it was folded and I'm not sure if the framer will be able to get the creases out. Yes, it's such a wonderful picture that I am prepared to pay a lot of money to get it framed. Perhaps one of the children in this swap will be in the same position one day and I would not like to see their creativity spoiled either now or later. I will always keep the child's drawing in my scrapbook and it would be nice to show it off to it's best advantage. I'm not being argumentative here. I just think the children deserve the best respect they can get. And just in case anyone wonders I love children, I love being around them and I like it best when we are up to our ears in paint, paper and glue. I had to retire early and miss that now so I would love a child's drawing. Maybe my views are old fashioed but I stil think they are valid.

There's always one in the bunch who has to nit-pick.

Gofeen 03/ 8/2010 #

It's not nit-picking. It's treating the child's work with the respect it deserves. It makes me mad when people don''t do that. It happens so much. The child rushes out up to the parent with their prized piece of work and the parent folds it or crushes it into the school bag. I've seen it so often and I wouldn't want that to happen here but that is all I will say about it.

respect for the child respect for their work respect for the recipient

badandknowsit2 03/ 9/2010 #

this is my 3rd such swap and i have never had this kind of problem b4. i set my rules and they stand

Gofeen 03/ 9/2010 #

O.K. badandknowsit2 Yes, it's your swap and you set the rules but I've said my bit and now I think I will bow out of this swap. I just cannot get my head round why people don't think a child's work should be to the best of their ability and that actually includes presentation. Don't they deserve that? And you know, what happens at home spills right over into school. However I do hope the children and adults who take part in this have a fun time.

SwapFanatic 03/11/2010 #

I can't wait for this swap, i'm gonna color something myself as i don't have a child but can't wait thanks for making this @badandknowsit2
