Towel Day is almost upon us, and whether you're a fan of Douglas Adams or not, we can all celebrate with this swap. You will be sending 1 partner a fresh, new kitchen towel. Any nice kitchen towel will do, we won't get too specific except to say that there's no need to send a novelty towel and it shouldn't be so bulky that it won't ship easily in a small to medium mailer, and please don't buy a crappy towel from the dollar store made of cheap thin fabric with dodgy stitching. Wrap a little surprise for your partner in the towel. Value of the surprise should be between $2 - $5 US dollars. Towel and surprise are senders choice. Please send something thoughtful to your partner. But remember partners: you are rating on receiving a new towel and a surprise ... rate fairly even if you receive something that doesn't suit your tastes. DON'T FORGET to include a note with your vitals: username / group / swap name. Towel Day is May 25. Would it be okay if I altered my towel in order to make it more of a Towel Day towel than just a regular towel? The alteration will not degrade the towelness of the towel (I don't want to give anything away here).

I think that's a great idea @user2637. I've seen towels that you can purchase specifically for towel day, but I'd never ask anyone here to seek out something like that, so your idea works perfectly!

sweet! :) I've seen the towels for purchase too, but they are expensive. I wish I had a sewing machine that did embroidery. Alas.
