US State by State postcards

The faster the states are signed up for (and committed to) then the faster I can close the sign ups and assign partners.

With so many people dropping and changing without notice, it's much more difficult to keep track.

IF YOU'RE GOING TO DROP FROM THIS SWAP, please make a simple note in the comments section so that everyone can know which state is available again. EXAMPLE: "I'm dropping out. _________ is now available."

I was looking at an international swap that only allowed 1 country per participant so it seemed like a cool idea for the US states.

Only 1 person per US state (+ Washington D.C.) will be allowed to join the swap.

• Check out the comments section below to see if your state is already claimed.

• If not, sign up for the swap, then leave your state in a comment below to let others know.

When you receive your partners, select a postcard that represents your state. It can be a map card, a "greetings from..." postcard, a postcard with the state symbols, a capitol postcard, etc.

NOTE: I will make exceptions for a few states that have limited representation so that you do not have to be FROM the state that you represent, even though that is PREFERRED. For example, you can be from Colorado, but send postcards that represent Kentucky if you have 5 postcards from Kentucky. (edited 8/2/10)

Send your postcard stamped with a message about why you like living in your state. (edited 6/15/10)

Only swappers with a good standing (ratings 4.95+) and 5 postcard swaps completed and rated may join. Exceptions will be made for old ratings that are explained. (8/13/10)

There is a long sign up date for this in order to get a participant from all 50 states. Once 50 states have been reached, the sign up date & send date will be adjusted.
