Description:

I love brooches but had to cancel a number of these swaps last winter, so let's try again!

This swap is for people who are new to making brooches so please just do your best.

Experienced swappers are also welcome to join but remember that most of us will be inexperienced at this, so please be kind! Sorry, no newbies.

We will have 1 partner for whom we will handmake a decorative brooch according to one of their three themes and using at least one of their three colours AS POSTED BELOW. See my comment as an example - nothing complicated or too specific, please - "A sparkly medium turquoise hammerhead shark 4 inches long" is going too far!

To participate, you must have:

  • Posted your 3 themes and 3 colours below (otherwise, it's sender's choice and you may expect to be surprised!).
  • A fully completed profile.
  • At least 5 rated substantial swaps.
  • A rating of at least 4.7, with no 1s in the 6 months immediately prior to the swap deadline.

I reserve the right to ban, which I will do after the deadline, but please let me know if you have concerns with anyone who has joined. If you do not meet the requirements but feel that your circumstances deserve special consideration, please feel free to pm me.

Brooches can be made from almost any material/medium that you like to work with, and out of just about any small object; all you need to do is add a pinback to it. Some ideas:
