Swap Coordinator:VivaLaDiane (contact)
Swap categories: Artist Trading Card (ATC)  Newbie
Number of people in swap:73
Location:International
Type:Type 3: Package or craft
Last day to signup/drop:August 14, 2010
Date items must be sent by:August 28, 2010
Number of swap partners:5
Description:

You will make 5 ATCs in any theme or style you choose. You will have 5 partners and send 1 to each of your partners.

And now: the rules.

These should not be on a piece of paper, but a thicker surface. If all you have is paper, gluestick a page or two together. Or cut out a piece of cardboard from a cereal box or something and alter that. I usually use hockey or baseball cards, or heavy cardstock. It still has to be 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches.

YOU must make these yourself. Don't pass on someone else's work as your own. Please be creative and don't put a sticker on a piece of paper.

If you're unfamiliar with ATCs, look at Flickr.com for inspiration.

This swap is pretty open. I will check for flakers. If you have any 1's on your page, you have to contact me first. I don't want anyone flaked on at all.

Hi im new to these, just a question what are some ideas to do with these once you have them?

mauiwahine 08/12/2010 #

@fallpetals I found this website useful for techniques on ATCs when I was first starting out. http://www.cedarseed.com/air/atc.html

VivaLaDiane 08/13/2010 #

@fallpetals I have mine is protective sheets (like for trading cards...baseball, etc) and have a notebook full. I leave it on the table for friends to see. :)

Thank you mauiwahine and vivaLaDiane, appreciate the info ;}

You covet them. You pull your book down off the shelf and you lovingly look at them. You move them around in your three ring notebook to suit your mood. You arrange them by favorites, then by theme, then by color. You strip your Star Trek cards from their sheets and double and even triple them up because you need the sheets for your ATCs. You surf the web for ways to display them, but never find anything really cool enough for them, so you put them back on the shelf for a few days, until you have new ones to add, then you pull your book down off the shelf, look at them lovingly, and........

ha ha ha Brambelbelle! That is just too funny! Anyhow, I have mine in a binder and only have showed them off at scrapbook night. However, they aren't a big thing out here and when we moved back to Sask. I had no one to trade with. I am so overjoyed to finally get some awesome ATC's to look at and ogle over! Just re-vamping my whole crop roomand I am so excited to hang some on my photo tree and frame some of my fav'ts. Some will also go on my freindship wall beside my pals photo's or fav't artist!!! I'm over-joyed to find out who all my swappy pals are gonna be...better go and get making ATC's..........till the sun comes up! LOL! PM if you want and tell me your fav't themes! Thanx for the site Maui

Hi! I have one of the revolving ATC holders on my desk in my art room ( wish I could bring it to work-good conversational piece..syi...USAF would kinda froun on...) and I am going to buy the other 7gyspy's holders (the ring one that you hang with crystals and all) and do just ATCs with my family genealogy to display in the living room and a the wooden one with the clips to put up in my art room....bren

darcilena 09/ 7/2010 #

That's a cool idea Brnd! I would love to do a family one and add vintage photo's. My hubby likes a clutter free home but I could take it out when we have company!

darcilena 09/ 7/2010 #

Where would i buy the individual ATC protectors? Haven't found any here yet. Are they expensive? PM me if you can tell me, Thanx so much! Darc
