Hi, I'm in South Africa (Durban), and have just joined Swap-bot. May I take part in this swap?

Hi, Emrajr69. I am new here too. Make sure you complete your profile with information about yourself. Newbies are allowed if they fill out the profile completely.

Then hit "Join Swap" and wait for the deadline. I also recommend reading the FAQs, New User Info, and the various other informational tabs at the bottom of the page. Lots of good info there.

Welcome and Happy Swapping!

Hi,

I've just signed up to Swap-Bot, I've filled out my profile and I'll be happy to send to my partner first. :-).

Hi there, I'm an Italian young woman and new here too :) I hope that my profile be complete enough to play here, please let me know!

Ryan: I really recommend you take the time to carefully read the FAQs and new members' info (via the small links at the bottom of the page). I read your profile page and your comment here. More personal likes and dislikes would be helpful so people know what they can send you. (Fewer 'rules'/'guidelines' might be a good idea too, but that's just my opinion/experience!) Also, no one posts their postcards before another as an M.O. here. Everyone sends at pretty much the same time - once partners have been assigned - and you rarely, if ever, send to the same swapper you receive from. That said, it's a very fair system that works really well. Hope you enjoy yourself here. Just familiar yourself with the swap-bot-specific rules to avoid misunderstandings. ;)

TheItalianVoice: I read your profile too and it's very good for basic information, but I notice that people here generally prefer swappers to have a broader (wider, more 'filled-out') profile with lists of likes & dislikes about things to swap (favourite crafts, what type of postcards you prefer, etc). It makes it easier to decide what to send a swap partner if there is more detail in their profile. Hope you have fun here though! :)

Papercaper: thanks for your suggestion, later I'll add something more to my profile so that it be more helpful and good for this and future swaps ;)

May I also suggest the name of the swap & user name be placed on the card. Many people participate in a multitude of swaps and this makes it easier to know who's who, in what swap, when it comes time to rate participants. Thank you for considering this helpful hint.

Dang it-have sent out 8 swaps and just learned I should put my swap-bot name and the swap name on them....oh, well, I am learning!

My partner from whom I was to receive a PC has been partially suspended. What should I do?
