Description:

Use one of those sale cards you bought after the holidays if you wish! Or just an extra card from someplace. Turn the card over. Alter the back of the card! Collage will work just fine! Now open the card! On the back of the front, write your address like you would on a pc. Leave space for your sender to write back. Fold the card back on itself, like it was when you began! Write your message and your partner's adddress on the back of the back. You'll need a 44 cent stamp for this if your partner is here in US. Otherwise postage would be the same as pc for overseas! You'll need a piece of tape to close the card. Leave space for them to run a letter opener to open it. So when it is opened they will see your artwork, separate the card, add some extra touches to the old front, like a sticker even- change it up, and mail the front back to you! You'll need to do 2! No envelopes, please!! Start now!

Okay, I know that this isn't that hard but, after getting a card and doing it a few times, I think you mean to alter the inside of the card (page 3), and use the very back for the recipients address (page 4). Let's say the front of the card is page 1, the back of it is page 2, the front of the back is page 3 and the very back is page 4. If I do join this (once getting a confirmation that I do understand the process), I'd love it if my partner would alter the front of the card, before sending it back, too! If they do. I'm not sure I'd care if I got the front of the card back, unless it's a penpal sort of swap, too.

You are a genius! Wish I'd thought of the number system! We all love to get mail and therefore the reason they mail back!

Call me "stupid", but I STILL don't understand what I am supposed to do to this card....I may pull out of the swap if I can't get it through my thick head....Someone please put it in 3rd grade instructions for me please...!

Because I've been called a "genius" by the generous host of this swap - here you go... get a card. The front is page 1, the inside of the front is page 2, the place where you usually have a sentiment, or write your own, is page 3 and the back of the card is page 4. Now read what I said before, using the card you have in your hand to picture what you need to do. It's actually quite a good idea, except I'd want to have my partner decorate the part I get back, instead of just sending back the front of the boring card I sent. Okay, it might not be boring, but still... I've seen it, and did such a good job arting up the part s/he gets to keep. I have to join this now, I've been so verbose on the subject.

Is this like the Back Atcha cards we just did? So, when we receive the cards from the senders, we need to remember to get them mailed back within 2 weeks? Correct? We initiate 2 cards and respond to 2 cards?

No because the receiving partner will keep the original art work. That is what you will be rated on-the original artwork among other things.
