BEGINNERS LINE ATC

This is a great idea :) I have just started to get addicted to these lil things and I have only actually made 2 and only received one :) Im excited :)

Fab idea...I have wanted to make ATCs but was a little afraid...maybe other 'newbies at ATCs' will understand any mistakes I make!! Let the fun begin!!

I've never made one before. Are they the size of business cards or something?

can they be collage ATC? Im inept at drawing :S

yes it can be collaged and geez i dont know exact size but will find out and get back to you with this. Just remember the back ground has to be lines for example i made diagnal lines one way and diagnol lines the other way with a ruler to make squares the back ground can be any sort of line.

an atc is 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches alot have folders they put them in and gets their noses all bent out of shape if they dont fit lol but with this being for newbies we are all still learning I have a box of atc backs that someone gave me but u can make them out of cereal boxes or index cards they are not to thick

I have made a few from card stock measuring that size but I still don't understand the "backs" Does that mean you can cut cardstock or card board then design your ATC on thin paper and glue it onto the card stock?

This is an awesome idea~!! I have been meaning to start but have too much inertia. Whoever gets my card will get my first card! HAHA

I have been using cereal boxes and i cut out two and glue those together and then i glue whatever material is goin on there. i like mine to be heavy and my mother does it the same way and she has been doing these for a while now. :)

If you have an art supply store near you, a lot of them sell ATC-sized packs of paper in different types & thicknesses. Super easy, no cutting & measuring only to have it not square, and nicer materials = nicer results. :)

If you don't have a store near you, DickBlick's website sells them along with lots of different supplies for storing, protecting, & displaying them.

I know most people here are noobies, but in case you get into it it's nice to start off on the right foot.
