This swap is for all you Absinthe lovers. Whether you like the drink itself, the art nouveau imagery, the green fairy or the bohemian lifestyle associated with it.

Although many artists and writers living in Paris during the late 19th Century and early 20th Century drank Absinthe; the green coloured spirit was in fact favoured by all social classes and enjoyed in bars, bistros, cafes and cabarets to such an extent that 5pm became known as l'heure verte (the green hour). Famed for having supposed mind altering properties Absinthe was banned in France in 1914 as it was considered to be a dangerous psychoactive drug.

FOR THIS SWAP you will create 1 necklace or 1 brooch for 1 partner.

The pendant (part of the necklace) or brooch should be about 2-3 inches depending on style.

Make a stunning and somewhat elaborate piece of jewellery inspired by both Absinthe and the late 19th Century/early 20th century bohemian style.

As the piece is based on the theme of ''Absinthe'' you must include the colour GREEN in your creation. It does not have to be the only colour but must be the main colour. For example green with some black or silver or copper etc or use various shades of green.
