Description:

Make a 4"x 6" (or as long as the PC fits guidelines of the post office) postcard out of a food box. It can be cereal, some type of snack, drink, etc...Just needs to be cardboard!!

You will have 3 partners....so you will make one PC for each of those partners. Although it isn't a requirement, you can be as creative as you would like to be(sometimes I add a little glitter....you can "spice it up" as much as you like...just remember it has to be mailed naked). Please do write on the back about when you ate it, why you like it, was it a snack for your child.....

Start saving those boxes so you'll be ready to mail out when the time comes!!

*Postcards should be mailed naked (stamped and written on).

Everyone is welcome to join in....but I have the right to ban if I feel the need!! (I can, I'm the host! HA!)

I'm editing this swap to say 4" x 6" or as long as the PC is cut according to post office guidelines....sometimes those boxes just aren't big enough to cut them 4" x 6"! ;^)

An ingenious idea. Sure makes me look at cereal packets, etc differently.

Great idea. I look forward to the swap.

Have finally gotten around to thinking about the construction of this swap & have now noticed just how few grocery items actually come in boxes anymore.....what would you think about using 'wrappers' say from chip bags, etc that are glued onto cereal box weight cardboard? Any thoughts on the subject?

For this swap, I think I'd rather everyone use cardboard boxes....that sounds like a neat idea for a new swap!!

I found this page, which gives the info on required dimensions for mailing postcards in the US:

I mailed mine today and the lady working at the post office was SO impressed with them. I told her about swap-bot and she got all excited and wrote down the website, she said she wanted to join. Heehee!
