Yoo kids- Whattdayou wanna be when you grow up? Why don't you do a test-run as a diy mad scientist thru this swap?

The objective is to see how creative swappers can get, experiment & the only swap specification: "destroy this, make something awesome."

Swappers would be challenged to use something typical to create something new, clever, mind-blowing, functional or beautiful -maybe even all of these things together. This is a sender's choice swap, so people can alter whatever their heart desires and send it off to their partners as a surprise! I'll list a variety of objects you could alter but that's just for brainstorming; the sky's the limit.

Typical things could include:a record, a roll of duct tape, a hardbound book, a solo cup, a thrift store find, an old cassette, etc

Alters could be :

records: make a bowl, make a cd case and put a mix inside fer your partner, a clock more record ideas

old textbook/hardback: rip out the pages, stitch in blank/graph/staff paper, with a couple of cents worth of hardware and a pair of metal snippers, a hardbound book can become an 8-note kimbala. (a primitive hand piano).

cassette tape/case: diy wallet or transformer! lookey

*tee shirt alters

neck ties: into a small bag, hair band etc. Sooo many are cheap @ thrift stores and waiting for new homes here's some necktie ideas from threadbanger- theadbanger is the shit by the way fer edgy crafts! here

old tee shirts: rip them up, make cloth yarn out of them and crochet/knit your partner a hat or whatever.

Personally, I think I'd be more likely to join if it was just one partner; not so much the postage costs, as the amount of work I'd need to put in to create just one awesome thing, let alone two...

I am in for this too if it would be just for 1 partner.

I might possibly join if it were one partner. I'm envisioning a big project that I could do, but there's no way I could complete two of them in the time allotted, plus it would be too expensive to ship two of them internationally.

Yeah, I fourth the one partner idea too.
