Description:

I suddenly came up with a new idea for a swap. I'm not sure whether it will be Type 2 or 3 (you can write how do you think in comments).

You will be writing a letter about yourself (know as introduction letter :P) + DRAW a picture of yourself (oh, come on! I'm not an artist myself so you will probably laugh about my picture!), add some leaflets, postcards, picture of your city/town with explanation of your favourite place. Please add also a coin and ticket (it might be a transport ticket but also cinema, circus, exhibition etc.)

So, to sum up, your sending: - Introduction letter - Autoportrait - Leaflets, pictures, postcards of your city/town (you don't need to send tons of them) - coin - ticket

I hope you'll like this swap ;)

Great idea, I think it can bea type 2 swap or type 3... it just depends on what you are sending, but say you are sending, small items then it is flt mail. great idea again.

By "coin" do you mean one of those flat coins? There's nowhere in my city that does that. Not even any of the tourist information/visitors centres :( However, as Chester is a roman city, there are plenty of reproduction coins on sale... would that suffice?

Personally I think this is a type 3 swap, because you are doing a drawing and sending a selection of items. To me, type 2 is when you just write a letter or a postcard. I'm sure a reproduction Roman coin would be ok (and I think they may have a pressed coin machine in Chester zoo?) or even perhaps a special edition English coin would do, as its likely the person you swap with will be from a different country?

I meant just a normal coin from your country (since it's an international swap) but you're right - if you get a person from your country as a partner (pretty possible for people from the US) you can send some special coin (state quarter, like?).

well for me is type 3... it has a lot of things to send so for me it's type 3

what exactly is type 2 and type 3? I'm a newbie so I don't understand.

I edited it to European, I hope you don't mind...

Too bad it's not international, I'd love to join!

Does it make sense to send a coin if most countries are members of EU and most of us have only euros...?

pahasiga 09/21/2011 #

If I remember correctly, my country doesn't allow to send money in mail.

Don't Euro coins have different designs? Maybe everyone can send a coin with his/her country design. I know one can get other country designs in normal shop, too, but that is not as common maybe?
