I've really been wanting to get back into pen-palling, but I've noticed there aren't as many simple letter-writing swaps around anymore. So I thought, why not host one myself?

This is meant to be a simple, easygoing swap. Nothing too complicated, no pressure to put together elaborate packages. Just a little letter, some creativity, and a chance to connect with someone new!

Here's what you'll be sending:

2 Partners

1. A Letter (for each partner)

A4-sized paper. Handwritten or printed. Please use nice stationery or paper. Tell your partner about yourself, your interests, your everyday life, or anything you'd like your new pen pal to know about you. This is your chance to share a little piece of your world!

1. A Mail Tag (for each partner)

Any paper size, shape, or format you like. It must be separate from your letter. Create something fun, whimsical, and cute! Think little works of art, doodles, colorful designs, stickers, washi tape, or anything your crafty heart desires. The sky's the limit!

Include at least 5 fun or interesting questions for your partner to answer.

You don't have to mail your answers back or reply to the questions unless you'd like to. This swap is simply about sharing, creating, and enjoying a little happy mail!

Need some inspiration? Here are a few ideas for your letter or mail tag questions:

• What is one thing you wish more people knew about you?
• Who has had the biggest impact on your life?
• What's the best concert you've ever been to?
• What do you usually order at your favorite restaurant?
• Is there a traditional meal commonly made in your household?
• What holidays or celebrations are you observing this month?
• When did you start pen palling?
• What countries have you visited?
• What's a small, ordinary thing that brings you an unreasonable amount of happiness?
• If you could relive one day of your life, which day would you choose and why?
• What's something you've always wanted to try but haven't had the chance to yet?

Feel free to use these questions, come up with your own, or mix things up!

Please send one letter and one separate mail tag to each of your two partners.

Please send within the assigned mailing deadline.

Once you receive your partner's letter and mail tag, please rate them a 5 if they've fulfilled the swap requirements.

Remember, you don't need to answer the questions or send a reply, but it would be nice if you did.
