Hi! I'm Jeanna! I just moved from Texas to Alabama in July with my mom and don't really have a network of crafting friends here. I was browsing some of my card making groups on Facebook and came across a post that mentioned this site so, I thought I would check it out!

A little more about me:

My mother had a quintuple bypass in March and moved in with me in July when my brother passed from a heart attack. Yes, I have been to the cardiologist for a full work up and they say that my heart is very healthy.

I am a disabled Veteran and I work at a VA Hospital in Social Work Services. I love my job most days.

I have one dog, a 13 month old Pitt/Weim mix named Lexi. She is a HOT mess and tears/chews up everything in the house. She is basically a HUGE baby (almost 70lbs).

I have a boyfriend who travels for work. I hardly ever see him and that makes me sad. Right now he is in Aurora Colorado and It is snowing there!

I have learned that after living in Texas for so long, ,I am extremely cold natured now! it has been in the 50's here at night and I am sooo cold.

Oh, and I have a brain tumor (benign). A trigeminal schwannoma. I have what doctors call the Suicide Disease. I won't go into details here but feel free to google it or if you also have it, please let me know as I don't know anyone else who does because it is very rare.

Ok, That's enough about me, let's talk about you now....

I don't really have a favorite music but I do love Johnny Cash and Ritchie Valens. I lost my brother in July and he was a huge fan of BB King and Otis Redding so, I am listening to their music more and more these days.

I love to read! I don't have favorite books but I do prefer history and biography.

I make and bind my own books (albums and journals) but I am not a very good writer.

My favorite movie is Deadpool. I don't know why. It is just incredibly funny A close second would be The Nightmare Before Christmas. I absolutely love Jack Skellington!

I watch crime shows like NCIS, CSI, Law & Order and Forensic files. I like a good murder mystery.

I love crafts! I cold spend all day writing about what I like but I won't bore you guys with that, I will make a list of the things that I like to make:

Sewing--Machine Embroidery, handbags, tote bags, diaper bags, monogramming and children's clothing.

Painting: I have recently started painting on canvas (acrylic) but I am not very good at it.

Cards: I have been making handmade cards and Invitations for quite a while and really enjoy it. I also enjoy making my own envelopes.

Paper Crafts: I want to learn to make paper houses but I've been procrastinating on watching videos and actually learning so, if anyone has any good tutorial or ideas, please let me know!

Jewelry: I tried my hand jewelry making a while back but didn't like it. I still have beads and charms but I use them for other things now. I also tried clay and just could not get the hang of it.

Calligraphy: I am fascinated with calligraphy and had have started practicing. I want to buy a plethora of inks but think I will wait a while and make sure that I am going to enjoy it enough to really invest.

Basically, I like most all crafts.
