1/29/19 Wow! My bit of a break turned into more than a year away! I was dealing with a lot of health issues and various life 'stuff'. I am ready to jump back in. I have been doing lots of crafting and learning new techniques, so I am happy to be back!

Hi there! My name is Daisy and I want to thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I am a 44 year old full time mother. I am married to my very best friend and we have two sons (ages 25...a United States Airman and 15....an athlete who is becoming WAY too much of a man!!! I have a chronic neurological condition that causes severe migraines & silent seizures. I have a medical alert dog, Scooby. I have been a certified medical assistant for 20+ years now......I do not currently work due to my neurological condition, but hope that maybe someday I will get enough control over the disease to allow me to return to work. I love the medical field and miss working with patients.

As for the "About Me"....

I love to take road trips.....love the cheezy roadside attractions....love photos of roadside attractions and any type of souvenirs of classic roadside attractions. Did I mention that I love roadside attractions? LOL One of my dreams is to get a tiny classic Airstream and decorate it up!

Favorite Crafts:

I like most everything! Currently I am focused on cardmaking, art journaling and working with paper. I have been crafting for well over 20 years. I like to sew, quilt, paper-craft, scrapbook, make cards, work with clay, make bendies, embroidery...the list goes on. I will try anything!

Preferences:

I love anything that has to do with Daisies, photography or card making.

I am always interested in different religions.....I don't identify with any religion, I consider myself very spiritual. I love things associated with Buddhism (my oldest brother practiced), Wicca, Judaism, Christianity (my older brother is a priest), atheism, Paganism (I probably relate to this the most).....really, I am very open-minded and love to learn all I can about all religions. I don't need to be converted, but I am always interested to learn about your religion. No matter what religion you follow, we are all humans and I respect all living creatures. Any gentle and peaceful spirits are ok by me! :)

Wishlist

• Small return address labels (would love some birthday themed ones, as I am in a birthday card group and send out lots of birthday cards)

• Return address labels for my mama (pm for address)

• acrylic stamps (name brand only, no China knock offs who steal from our hard working American/UK companies)

• card-making supplies

• ATC's made by you or ones you want to pass along

• Mixed Media Art

• Zines made by you or others....I really enjoy them

• Handmade cards or postcards

• Images and text to use in collage....I love to see what is 'interesting' to others! The art we see varies so much and really is eye-opening!

• I love prayer flags, handmade or not......I have them hanging all around my craft room and in the summer I like to decorate the pool area with them!

• 5x5 fabric squares (I just got some as extras in a swap and I thought 'how cool would it be to get enough squares to make a "Swapbot" quilt?!?!' So I am gonna see if I can bring that idea to fruition......so if you want to sign your square or add embroidery or an applique.....go for it! :) )

Dislikes:

• chocolate..I know, I know....but honestly, I don't like the stuff. I'm more of a fruity sweets kinda gal ;)

• I do not like anything scented strongly, like candles or perfumes, as they trigger migraines.

• I am allergic to smoke as is my little one.

• Don't really have any use for anything for reward stickers or kid stuff....it's cute, but I don't have a use for it and will just re-gift it.

I do not need any more journals notecards or notepads. I have waaaay too many. I also have more washi samples than I need .

I prefer quality over quantity and handmade over store bought.
