Thanks for the Randomail of papery bits! Your marbled papers came out really nice! I've only ever tried marbling paper with liquid starch and it....wasn't very good, lol. Stay cool!
also, the most issue I have ever seen with tape over the stamps is some mail person along the way writing DO NOT TAPE OVER STAMPS next to the stamps. shrug
Oh, you aren't supposed to tape over your stamps. I was wondering if I should say something but didn't want to be that jerk that was like "thanks for sending me this really thoughtful thing, here's everything you did wrong!" Putting tape over the stamps messes with the sensors that see how much postage you put on your envelope (at least, that's how new stamps work) so you aren't supposed to.
Do believe using invisible ink (the kind revealed by black light) also messes with the sensors. So don't draw invisible weenies all over the outside of your envelopes or it'll take a suuuuper long time to get there.
The mail has been kinda wonky for a lot of people lately so I doubt that's all that is messing with your mail. Generally if you miss a stamp it will turn up on one end or the other postage due. the more you know

These pens work pretty well, they have a black light on the end and yes, it's $4 for 12 of them. I would offer to send you one but I have slowly distributed them out and only have one left. What a shame none of the folks I sent them to ever sent me any super secret spy mail. >:[
