I am a 50 year old living in Wiltshire with my husband and daughter. I am originally from Whitby, North Yorkshire, England. I have lived in several locations during my military career and also my husbands military career. I have a 2 Bracco Italiano dogs called Hettie and Hector and a cat called Muddle. I love my chickens and home grown veg and fruit!

I have eclectic taste in music. I was brought up on C&W with a scattering of Elvis, Chuck Berry and Tony Bennett. In my teens I was into Indie/Punk/Alternative and loved The Jam, The Smiths, The Cure, The Cult, The Wonder Stuff etc etc. In my recent years I love 10,000 Maniac and Natalie Merchant, Alela Diane, Adele, The Lumineers.

Anything by Phillipa Gregory - love historical fiction! Anything by Joanne Harris - love her descriptive writing. I also love modern fiction of all kinds. I now have an E-reader for my everyday reading. I cannot give up my cookbooks though. I love Nigella Lawson - none of her recipes have ever failed me! I love cook books by Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall, Paul Hollywood, Mary Berry.

The Wizard of Oz - all time favourite from childhood! Chocolat, Amelie, Nacho Libre, Little Miss Sunshine, Crash, Pulp Fiction, The Worlds Fastest Indian, Life of Pi, The Notebook, O Brother Where Art Thou, Son of Rambow, Billy Elliot. I'm a sucker for a Disney movie too.

I love to sew. I used to sew a long time ago but lost interest. I'm happy to say I've got my mojo back and will sew anything and everything. I mainly make clothes for my daughter. My most recent make is a quilt from all her old, fave t-shirts. I'm happy to say she loves it. I have also done a little bit of 'english paper piecing' patchwork. In the past I used to make jewellery and still have a lot of my beads. I use them to make the odd little bag charm and my daughter enjoys making bracelets for her friends. I also make cards. I have lots of scrapbooking stuff but I've yet to start. Im a bit of a jack of all trades, master of none!
