About Me

I love art, but rarely make time to make it. I buy supplies to make art, but never use them. However, when I sign up for swapping ATCs, it's a wonderful way to make a deadline for myself to do art! I love drawing/painting, reading and watching movies. My job is centered around customer service, so after a long day at work, I just want to snuggle in with my daughter, cats, and be an introvert. ^.^ I love the story behind artwork and so when I create art it cannot just be willy-nilly; I want it to mean something, whether it's obvious to the onlooker or not. I love when art moves me.

Erykah Badu!!! All different types - hip-hop (I think the 80s/90s hip-hop/R&B is still great!), rap, rock, heavy rock (All That Remains, As I Lay Dying, etc.), alternative, ragtime, jazz, blues

Favorite Books

The Bible, The Count of Monte Cristo, MANY self-help/inspirational readings, too many to mention

Favorite Movies

SO many!!! Set it Off, Noelle, Soul, Rockstar, Last Holiday, oi, the list goes on. I've been enjoying Adams Sandler and Jennifer Aniston movies, Lindsay Lohan, and have always enjoyed Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie.

I love pretty much any craft. I love artistic anything, really, that's creative and makes you think or just moves you.

Comment: You put a smile on my face! Between your note and the ATC, I don't know which made me happier. My #1 favorite thing about swaps (and I need to add this to my profile) is when someone has gotten really excited about what they are sending and you can tell the difference between the people who just want to receive something and those who use the challenges to grow. I made my first ATC for this challenge and had a blast doing it! I'm working on more too. Enjoy the project you're creating for your daughter. It will be something she will treasure forever! Thanks again!

After receiving my card from my swap partner, it dawned on me I forgot to add the Swap Info on the back of the card I sent you and to send an extra little something - ANYTHING! Ha! I'd forgotten all about those parts! I really do appreciate the topic you chose - I was just blown away that a stranger pushed me along in my art goals. It's easy to forget strangers can often times be more help toward you achieving what you want vs people who know you well (because those close to you don't want you to fail so they offer only the "safe" advice/info/etc). Thanks again for pushing me out of my comfort zone!!!!

Response: I'm glad you like it. You have very good taste - I wanted to use a textured background but all I could come up with was the brown, burned background. I wish I had had more time to experiment!
