About Me

update April 2012: on April 4th my little boy was born!

Mother to the cutest girl in the world since February 11th 2010. Married to the best husband in the world since May 9th 2009. I'm a primary school teacher, but can often be found up in my crafty room (aka our attic) making stuff and I find a lot of inspiration on the internet and blogs. I love fabrics and (re-)organising all the stuff in my attic.

Favorite Crafts

I craft mainly with felt, fabric, yarn and recently wood (yay, I have a scrollsaw now!). I love sewing, quilting (a little bit), I am also giving crochet and knitting a try. I love making items for our nature table too ( I love the patterns by Atletier Pippilotta). I'm trying out needle felting and wet felting. I try to use woolfelt only.

At home

Our interior is a mix of Cath Kidston, Greengate, PIP Studio with thriftshop finds and things I make. I love going to brocante shops, fleamarkets and charity/thriftshops to find things I can use in our home or garden. We have a nature table that I try to change every month.

Dislikes...

Colors: orange, purple, black, brown (unless in a natural object), neon colors (for fabric: no solids please). The smell of smoke. Fabric/things with Disney figures on it or specific for a country/state/football team etc.). I'm allergic to dogs. No toiletries/perfume/jewelry please (allergies again...) Nothing religious please (any religion). I have tried ATC's and scrapbooking, but they are not really my thing.

Comment: Sadly, the bunnies and eggs arrived broken. The ends of the box had ripped open so other than the toothpick Dutch flag and a felt flower, anything that wasn't in the ziplock had fallen out. It looked like one end had been sealed with scotch tape? However, Zev LOVED the leather pouch with coins. He had made a similar one last summer and wondered how you had gotten his :); I loved the fairy postcard. You have inspired me to a) learn how to make a felt mat-Zev loved it, and b) buy a tag punch. We have an abundance of watercolored paper from school, of course, and while I have hand cut tags, the punch really does look wonderful. Thank you. Happy Spring!

Comment: Wow, wat een superleuk jurkje! Leuke stofjes. Ik heb hem Niene nog niet gepast, maar even voorgehouden en lijkt prima. Leuk het patroontje erbij (ooit zelf ook eens gehad, maar kwijt) Ik heb gelijk stof geknipt dus ga me er aan wagen!

Comment: Ik heb je pakje ontvangen en ben er erg blij mee. Leuk dat je er poppenhuisspulletjes bij hebt gedaan, had ik totaal niet verwacht, leuke verrassing dus. Als je eens iets nodig hebt van meubels ofzo van hout, wil ik dat best voor je maken. Bij ons op school heerst ook vreselijke heftige buikgriep, maar ik heb hem nog niet gehad.
