About Me

Hello everybody,

I´m a total crafts junkie and started with knitting and crocheting when I was 10 years old. But haven´t done anything after that. Since 3 years now, from time to time I made something for friends and family as a gift for a birthday or christmas. Everybody loved my creations and always said, I sould take it a step further.

As far as the knittng, I can do hats, scarfs, Mittens and socks and I love the cable stitch.

Since a few month now I got more into crocheting because of an amigurumi book I got for my birthday. I´m working on a monkey right now. Let´s see how it will look like in the end.

Through flickr I found out about the Sock Monkeys and fell in love with them. They´re so cute. I will try my first one soon!

So, to be really professional about it I´m looking for a good table I can put in my workroom / guestroom and boxes to sort my stuff and then nothing can stop me from being creative and have everything in one spot, where I need it.

I hope to find cool people through swap-bot.com to swap great yarn, knitted stuff and ideas of patterns and also to meet cool people from all over the world.

Favorite Crafts

My favorite crafts are knitting and drawing... but lately I recovered crocheting again.

Favorite Color

I love pink, lime green, purple, lilac and levender... I really don´t like orange and brown. Don´t know why, I just don´t like them....

What I like...

... I like everything with the color pink, lime green and purple or lavender. I like lavender planted in my garden. I love my furniture in a country style. Shabby chick, I hope I wrote that correct... I LOVE LOVE LOVE to knit... You can call me knitting junkie. Once I knitted from 3 in the afternoon until 3 a.m. ...LOL!

For my swap partners:

I love colorful yarns. Mostly natural yarn. I like lady bugs and funny buttons. I´m a tea junkie and audiobooks junkie ( really cool when you´re knitting!), I love to read, a lot, and I love to travel and collect pins from all over the world. I already have a collection so far... and I love to buy lotions and hand soaps with lavender smell...

Favorite Music

I have to say I´m a Punk/Rock/Emo/Country/Pop Girl... but mostly Punk and Rock. I like the Foo Fighters a lot...

Favorite Television

Hhhmmm... i love to watch Grey´s Anatomy, Criminal Minds and that´s it right now... I´m not a huge TV person anymore, I prefer the radio and knitting.

Favorite Movies

To many to write down here... but my all time favorites are the ones with Audrey Hepburn!!!

Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely cabled dish cloths! The pink one is perfect for Valentine's Day (perfect timing!) and I just love the lattice-type pattern on the blue one! They are both just so pretty! I really like the envelope and paper that you wrote the note on, too.
Response: I´m glad you liked everything. I bought the paper and envelope ones @ IKEA in Germany. They were ment to be chrismas cards, but I think they´re to nice for it.

Comment: WOW! Not only did I receive one skein which met the swap requirements, but I received a second which was clearly heart deserving (would that I could give more than one, I would). This week had been particularly tough so when I opened the package my heart was touched. I love the fact that you sent one skein for a male and one for a female. My husband, as you may or may not know, has cancer. I've been wanting to knit a pair of socks for some time to see him a smile but just haven't found the right yarn. This is perfect, he LOVES the yarn and is already asking when I'll be making him his socks. Thank you so much for such a special package. P.S. Response: Dear Patty, I´m so glad that you like the yarn I send to you. I´m glad it arrived in one piece. Wasn´t sure about that. It´s a egg warmer, you know when you cook an egg for breakfast, you pull it over and it keeps the egg warm. I´m sorry to hear this about your husband and glad that he likes the yarn as well.
