BTW, we have in common that we live in a city that has pig legend! I work in an area of Baltimore known as "Pigtown" which is famous for the pigs being herded through the streets. I have made many ami pigs for swappers here!
So, just popped into your profile after reading what you put on the PF-awesome btw. And I just wanted to say congrats on your engagement! I just got engaged last weekend! And planning for the wedding in May! So exciting!! When is yours?
WHOA!!! I got your amazing RAK package and I just can't believe it... a hand carved mantis shrimp?!?!! I've never received something like this!! What the heck is it carved in, rubber? Is it a rubber stamp so I can stamp huge mantis shrimps on envies and letters and stuff??!! WHAT?!! You should have heard my squeal when I saw that shrimp. I am so touched, you are my friend for life. :D
The mantis shrimp is the world's most ferocious creature, they are badasses. They go around punching and smashing and stabbing things all the time with their little fists and claws. There is also a species of mantis shrimp that is the only animal to use active wheel based motion to get around... it folds its body into a hoop and ROLLS down the beach. NO LIE!
You sent a lot of really nice stickers and a lovely card too, thanks so much it's all really nice and so thoughtful. We will totally have to do a private swap. I'm not late on any swaps anymore so I decided to host a bunch of extremely easy swaps. If you want to do some swaps requiring minimal effort, join one or more of the ones I am hosting!!
Thank you so much for the grey bat Rak, I am torn between calling him cinna (after where he came from) or graystroke (very super hero ish!) But now you can say on your profile that kittenred is the proud owner of your first ever feltie. He really did make my day and will soon be joining bertram (ami bat made by amigirl) on my bookshelf :)
I checked out your Flickr and I love your little feltie bat!! I've just started making felt things, I like it! I hope I get you in a future swap I know I'd love anything you made! Happy Swapping!
