About Me

Member since April 2006 (#1124)

I ALWAYS SET UP PRIVATE SWAPS FOR RATINGS. No matter how many times I've swapped with you in the past. Once bitten, twice shy.

If you are on facebook, please friend me! I need neighbors for Frontierville. It's really the only game I play anymore. Please put frontierville in the subject area.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!! Include a note with the NAME OF THE SWAP on it AND YOUR SWAP-BOT NAME. It is not enough just to put your real name. Seriously. I do about 10 -20 swaps a week and several are of the same theme. So when I get an envelope of stickers, I don't necessarily know which swap you are sending to me. (UPDATE: Not really swapping too much these days, but still include your swap-bot ID an the swap name)

I collect Sanrio, San-x, Kamio, Q-lia, Crux, Mindwave, and other Asian stickers and stationary. I am totally obsessed with Hello Kitty and her friends. I collect all kinds of stationary and pens/pencils. I have a ginormous collection of writing instruments. Please add to my collection!

My favorite thing the whole world is stickers!! Other than Kawaii stuff, I love Mrs. Grossman, Sandylion, Hambley, and Stickopotamus stickers, especially hearts, flowers, leaves, cute bugs, snowflakes, pumpkins, stuff with glitter. PLEASE! No old-lady stickers!! When I say "flowers", I mean cutesie ones, not vintage. No vintage-looking stuff please. No angels, cupids, stuff like that, unless it's cartoon-y.

I am in love with office supplies, too. I have tons of pens/pencils, notebooks, erasers etc. I love rubber stamps too

Favorite Music

Dr. Demento type stuff. pop stuff, stuff you can dance to and sing along with. Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Dixie Chicks, Justing Timberlake, Backstreet boys, Nsync, (I know!), Pink, Rhianna, Melissa Etheridge, Bruce Springsteen. I love those music compilations like "Now that's what I call music" and stuff like that.

Favorite Movies

John Hughes type films. RIP John Hughes. My favorite movie of all time is Pretty in Pink, followed closely by 16 Candles. Judd Apatow's stuff.

Favorite Television

Six Feet Under, Big Love, Secret Life of the American Teenager, Big Bang Theory, 16 and Pregnant, Tool Academy, The Middle, Modern Family, Hoarders and Intervention on A&E. I love HBO on Demand!

Favorite Crafts

I consider myself a beginner at inchies and making cards, advanced at matchboxes and making envelopes, and an expert at kawaii. I can do other crafts, like jewelery making, but don't do it that often and hardly ever swap it.

I am also into: Lucky star folding (tiny origami), scrapbooking, making bracelets, making beads (from fimo), quilling, making paper clip animals, wire craft. When sending beads, I need beads with decent sized holes, since I mostly do hemp jewelery. (No cheap pony beads!) I have recently gotten into making greeting cards and envelopes, so 3-D stickers are welcome. I also put on a baby shower for my sister and we had a blast making diaper cakes!! (Look it up!) "My name is Urzula and I am a matchbox-aholic." Can I just say, Swap-bot is evil!! OMG! And my rubber stamp addiction is slowly spiraling out of control. [email protected] you, swap-bot! I am now into embossing and am looking for brown and orange embossing powders.

Kawaii stuff

I am totally addicted to all things Kawaii. I have always had a fondness for Hello Kitty and there are 3 official Sanrio stores near me. I have enough Sanrio to last 5 lifetimes, but if you send me vintage stuff (pre 2000 for me) I will love you forever. Other than that, PLEASE, NO MORE SANRIO!! After you see my list, you will probably think that I am picky and I am. I expect excellent kawaii swaps from others who claim to be connoisseurs. However, I know that some people are new and/or don't have access to loads of kawaii. If you send to me for a beginner swap, I'll let some stuff slide. If you are sending to me for a non-beginner swap, you better know your stuff. NO CINAMOROLL!

I am currently really looking for ANYTHING LANDRY (old Sanrio character) or stationery (memo pads or letter sets) of PUCCA.

I wish there were a San-X store or something else that sells Kawaii merchandise, but I have to buy most of my stuff on-line. I love to make address labels, mailing labels, and swap cards.

Right now my favorite thing to collect are stickers - sheets and flakes. My favorite brands for stickers are Mindwave, Q-lia, Crux and Kamio. I would love some San-X flakes, but I just can't find anything except Sweet face and Mamegoma. I am looking for the latest San-X lines, specifically the black cat "boots", little green cactus, the Pomeranian, the platypus, and the new Berry Puppy, and I am always looking for that random 4x6 pad that doesn't have a set. I don't really care for Relax bear, unless it's stickers. I don't like MonokuruBoo AT ALL!

For characters, I like pandas first and foremost. I have all the new Tarepanda stuff, but I would love other brands of Kawaii panda-ness. I like the newer Sanrio characters, like Pankunchi. I love Kuromi and Sugarbunnies and don't have a lot of them.

I love any sort of non-animal Kawaii thing, like food and poo and teeth. I absolutely hate real animals and real people/babies. But I love real food and cartoon food with faces drawn on them. I like the zoo animal stuff best, like "elephant life" stuff. I don't really like baby animal stuff, like when they are floating on clouds and stuff. I LOVE puni puni animals!

Other than Kawaii stickers, I also collect memo pads, letter sets, pens/pencils (mechanical), deco tapes, erasers, plushes, pencil pouches, pencil cups, pencil holders of any kind, stamper sets, anything and everything Kawaii. Ebay is my best friend and my arch nemesis at the same. I might as well have my paycheck deposited right into my paypal account!

I am missing some little cactus pups from Tokidoki!! If you have the green or pink, I will love you forever. I love Tokidoki!! I finally bought the Tokidoki messenger bag AND wristlet!! They were on sale at Nordstrom!!

Non-Kawaii stuff

For the non-Kawaii stuff, here are my specs:

Stickers - no more teacher stickers, please!

Purple/pink/red/black/blue/green - in that order

Glittery stickers

Graph paper, especially moleskines!

Notecards - flowers, nature, birds, owls, or abstract. Please no kittens or puppies or babies

Prima flowers of all shapes sizes and colors

Grosgrain ribbons - I use ribbons on matchboxes. Satin doesn't work for me. Wired sheer ribbon is good too.

Gel pens (only Sakura brand)

Mechanical pencils with big cushy grips

Mechanical pencils with twist erasers

Galaxy markers, esp white and silver

Cute boxes - from tiny to large; paper, plastic, tin, whatever

Russian nesting dolls (Matryoshka)

Extra hard sudoku puzzles

Rubber stampers - esp flowers and animals

Rainbow themed stuff

Stuff with the letter U on it

Cherry flavored/scented stuff

HALLOWEEN and Secular Christmas/Winter

Sticky rhinestones (like the ones that are sold in strips)

Candy - cherry or grape fun dip. Japanese chewy candies. Bubble Gum Jelly Bellys

Mexican stuff, cause I am

DIY kits for anything

Please do not send me:

"Kawaii" stuff from Target, Wal-Mart, Dollar stores, etc. No dollar items. I can buy them myself.

An entire sheet of stickers cut up to substitute for loose flakes. I'd rather just have the sheet whole.

Tea/coffee/hot chocolate - I don't drink any of it, sorry!

Baby/kid stuff - I will do specific trades on my sister's behalf. She has 2 girls (2 and 1) and a baby boy due Feb 27, 2010.

Wooden pencils - only mechanical, and the thicker the better, like .7 or .9

LITTLE KAWAII SPIRAL NOTEBOOKS - really any kind of bound notebook, unless it has graph paper.

Bootleg items

Religious stuff (except buddha and Mexican inspired stuff)

Necklaces or earrings (no pierced ears)

Confetti or sequins

Cosmetics (I do not wear any kind of makeup)

Candles/ tarts/ incense

Candy of any kind (except chewy Japanese stuff or stuff listed above)

The following Kawaii characters: Cinamoroll, BatzMaru, Froliemew, Spottie Dottie, Afro Ken, other boyish characters, real animals or babies or people, Anything of Morning Glory, Disney, Pooh, Diddl, anything else not Japanese.

Teacher stickers

Foam stickers

Crappy stickers that you KNOW are not pretty or cute or useful for anything.

Cheap, no name stuff.

Anything that smells of anything. I am highly allergic to cats, dogs, and smoke. No perfumes either. (Or pollen, but I am going to assume that most people don't put their swaps together out doors.) And please don't cook by my swaps either! I have gotten some pretty rank swaps lately!

I would love the following:

I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews (girls are 1.5 and 2.5 years old; boys are 6 months and 8 months as of 8-8-10) Anything for them is much appreciated.

Rubber stamps - large stamps with empty spaces are great. Flowers, geometric pics, animals preferred. Can be gently used.

Embellishments for Matchboxes.

Tiny things to put in matchboxes

CD of Kawaii graphics to use to make swap cards and labels. Scans of memo sheets, lettersets, etc work great.

Mixed CDs I can play in my car. I don't even know what's popular now. I just listen to NPR. (NERD!)

Regional Hello Kitty pens and mechanical pencils with little dangles on them. HK dressed as other animals or food are the best!

Altered tins, shrines or notebooks/journals. I can't make these, but I want them!

I've been flaked!
