I am interested in all things paper and pen and I used to spend a lot of time creating scrapbooks. Now, rather than putting together memory books that someone will have to dispose of some day, I like to put it all to use making cards and correspondence and ephemera that I can mail out to others. I am happy and energized when I receive items in the mail and I like the idea of giving that to others. I started Postcrossing last year as I was getting ready for retirement and participated in some random mail swaps as well. I am currently finding inspiration in postage stamps and have been exploring stamp carving to create coordinated envelopes.
