UPDATE

November 19th I have to say thank you to all of you who have been so understanding and supportive. I am so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community of awesome people!!! I am hanging in there as the saying goes. I have had a lot of neurological problems (arm numbness, vertigo, headaches), some scary heart issues and hair loss. My Drs have me on thyroid meds now and most of my neurological problems are from Spondylolisthesis of my cervical spine (when one vertebrae slips past another vertebrae and causes pinching of the nerves, in my case in the neck). So I have back problems in my lower (lumbar, sacral region), middle (thoracic) and now cervical (neck). We are trying several different treatments (spinal injections, traction) before resorting to surgery. I am hopeful and continue to pray for relief. All of this, compounded with my rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia, has made being a mom, house wife and artist very difficult. Needless to say I have been having a real hard time with all of this, especially with the coping and depression. I have had to re-assess everything and re-think what I want/ need for living a meaningful, productive life. It has been very trying but I am getting through it with the love and support of my family and friends and (for the most part) my excellent team of DRs.

Sept. 30th I am having lots of new tests run and they are re-testing me for Lupus and other possible diseases that might be causing all my problems.   I just got an X-ray of my neck and an MRI of my head.  I am trying to get everything done little by little.  I have finished several but haven't been able to get them to the post office.  I will add extra goodies to all my swaps to make up for it!

I wanted to notify all my swap partners and fellow swapee's that I have been having a bought of bad flare-ups and I'm on new meds that keep me off in lala~land. I am working on my current swaps and will continue to but some days are better that others and I can't get much done between being a mom, wife and housekeeper. IF I have signed on for a swap I WILL complete it, please be understanding and bear with me. The kids are back in school and I am getting some alone time, so I am hopeful to catch up and maybe even host a swap.

I am mom to 4 awesome kids, lover to one amazing guy, but along the way I started neglecting me! I need to get back to my roots and be ME. This is one of my many attempts at that. Thanks for wondering about me :0) Rowan Willow Nightwind is my gaelic name, I use it as my alter ego~artist name.

I love all kinds of music from heavy to good old fashioned country and everything in between...lately I'm really into Silversun Pickups, Lyyke Li, Feist, Regina Spektor, Great Northern, The Bravery...of course some old favs are Nirvana, Bad Religion, Pixies, Portishead, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone age, Fu Manchu...oh my gosh...I could go on and on and on...

I really don't have time for books, and there are soo many other things I like to do when I do have time. However, occasionally I do like to read educational stuff, usually metaphysical or unusual, unconventional stuff.

I'm a dork and I like goofy, off the wall movies. So as embarrassed as this makes me, here goes...Ace Ventura (both), Bruce Almighty, Liar Liar, All the Austin Powers movies, Grandmas Boy, Old Cheech & Chong movies, History of the Worlds (mel brooks), Vacation & Christmas Vacation, Rush Hour movies (chris tucker is soo frickin' funny & jackie chan rocks!), Friday, The Princess Bride. I do like a good drama that keeps you guessing, and a love story that makes you cry. All of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies...mmmm Johnny Depp...could look at him for hours! Again I could go on and on...

I watch what the kids are watching, usually cartoons. My favs are Scooby Doo, Spongebob Squarepants, Futurama and Chowder. CSI~the original (Vegas), MXE (crazy Japanese!), Scrubs, HGTV always sucks me in to see what they'll do, Animal planet too. And I cannot wait for the new season of It's always sunny in Philadelphia! If I had a tivo, all i'd do is watch tv. I hate to admit it, but I like reality shows, I quess it's the "nosey" side of me.

I love to do all sorts of crafts. I am a jewelry artist at heart, have been for years (since college 1990), but recently I have discovered painting. I love to see what I can do. I also really like altered / mixed media art. I am a pack-rat by nature and I don't throw "things" away...this gives me a reason to use those "things". I am also a thrift-shop-aholic, Hi, my name is TIFFANY & it's been 10 days since my last "fix"...I like to give old things new life and recycle, reuse things other consider trash. Hey...just doing my part to be "GREEN".

Butterflies, fairies, gnomes, animals (Lions, tigers and bears...Ooo my), dragons, dragonflies (altho I hate bugs...eewww), flowers especially sunflowers and daisies, mushrooms, ANYTHING VINTAGE, Retro 70's modern "stuff", Carrie Chau artwork, Amy Butler fabric, old fabric, old wallpaper, old lace, ric rac, velvet ribbon, felt flowers, essential oils, candles, silver or silver tone jewelry, gemstones, crystals, wood knots (weird, I know), food, sweets, reislings and sweet wines, unfiltered beers like Blue Moon with orange, Hefewiezen with lemon & Lienie's sunset wheat (my new fav), hot tea with cream and sugar, Chai tea with soy milk, smell good lotions, glitter, stickers, pretty paper, playing balderdash, ice hockey, dancing, yoga, hiking, swimming, snowboarding & gardening. My favorite colors are blues and greens, minty...aquay...eastery greenish blues, black and earthy colors, well, pretty much all of them.
