I'm a Nan of 4 now, 3 girls & the last one is a boy. Both my sons are married to lovely ladies.
I live alone & have some mobility & health challenges.
August 2015 I'm now the proud owner of Jimmy a 2 year old Papalion hes so cute, cuddly & happy to sleep in either his crate or my bed depending on my mood. His best friend is a beautiful large golden they have lots play dates & when one stays with the other for a few days they sulk when they go home as they miss each other.
UPDATE: Jimmy is looking grey now not the bright white he was. Still very playful at times and extremely loveable. Since we moved a few years ago he does not see his friend as often that lived around the corner and neither is into playing tug with the toys now. Always pleased to see each other. His highlight is when I get the wheelchair out and take him for a walk, even better if he gets to ride on my lap while we pick up a couple of items at the shops. He is well known and loved at my local shops and they miss us when we don't go up for a while. Jimmy likes small treats especially chicken.
I have had it for a couple months so love it makes it so easy to cook good things for myself & is easy clean too. So now I use lots of raw fresh nuts etc rather than processed food. Been building up my supply of jar for keeping ingredients in and increasing herb & spices which I love. Have very few at present.
UPDATE: Bought the newest model a couple of years ago and its been fab having the 2 on the bench much safer for me than using the ring tops where I kept burning everything.
Not into fairies or Halloween anything.
Caffeine, any smellies including popouri, I can't have smells or chemicals around me & will even react to things that are posted from a smoking home so please if you smoke be aware of this.
I also don't wear jewellery.
Love all Dr Who Knitted & sold the Dr who scave now need to make myself one :)
I'm more into crochet this year. Have not touched mixed media. Knitted a few socks too. I like good acrylic wool, marvel, paintbox although stylcraft remains my favorite yarn. Like bulky, worsted too as its good for scarves and hats.
UPDATE: Doing more crochet than ever, into blankets/wraps now for my church, actually nice to know that what I do is useful.
Really wanting to get back into junk journaling and bookmaking again. I enjoy it just need to find a reason to make them. Like the old look and items you use to create that look.
Reading other profiles I realised many of you do quite detailed ones so here goes. Although these are my diagnoses & I'm aware of the way they affect my daily living I try not to label myself with them when possible, not wishing or speaking bad over myself rather I try to speak good future as much as possible. Yes I'm human & fail often.
Fibroymyaligia Depression PSD Anxiety Aspergers Learning difficulties Sight issues with trying to focus to read a book so using audio books. Collasped disks in back from broken tail bone. More damaged disks and foot which now have cortisone injections to hold pain at bay. Sinus Asthma
My home is chemical free & that includes all perfumes etc I use goats milk soap which I feel is badly named as its not soap in the sense most know & that's all I have for cleaning myself with, crystal deodorant, olive leaf mixed with water for mould & equipliptus mixed with water for cleaning. Yes I react to even vinegar.
Allergies also spring over into food which is fantastic when I stick to it for my body, but can feel stifling at times so I break out & then pay for it. As I say I'm only human. Gluten free.
UPDATE: Not a lot of changes, just added more arthritis to my list that is limiting more of what I can do. Finding a few other products that I can use now, the scent seems to be the main issue. Loving hemp from the body shop at present as my skin gets super dry over winter.
I enjoy being part of Salvation Army and apart from the crochet I do for them, I go over to help on Thursday mornings and Sundays is worship time.
Water pretty much covers it, has to be filtered & I have to use it to do teeth as well otherwise I pick up bugs way too sensitive. Coconut water/milk I use too.
I enjoy herb teas and when I can find a chia latte that is less that 3% caffeine I enjoy it.
For now its crochet and knitting whatever takes my fancy. Love blankets, socks & amigurimi
Have ideas of things I like on etsy & Raverly usually you can find similar in other places depends on what you have access to.
UPDATE: not been doing much ami as rather hard on my hands now. Did a super bulky yarn blanket for my granddaughter at her request, was very hard to do for long and won't be returning to large yarn again too hard on my arms, shoulders and hands. Havn't knitted socks for a while as have plenty in my draw. Always have several crochet projects on the go from easy to difficult and at times get a pile of them to put ends away.
Every now and then I get to go to art group, I would like to go more often or organise myself to do more at home. Seems crochet has taken over all workspaces so working on culling so can do a bit more mixed media and gel printing.
I'm in love with sock knitting now on circular needles for the most part with dpns for heels & toes. I love very soft pure wool. Green tea is my favorite Au dyer as the sock yarns is not scratchy. Have designed 1 pair of socks.
