About Me
I am a mother to three girls and have been married for 18 years. I have a 5-1/2 year old St. Bernard dog named Ginger and two cats, and my daugher has a parakeet named Hippie. I am a craft-addict. I love going to craft fairs and going home and making it myself. I love sewing-type crafts. I love machine embroidering. I have made quilts, but take too long for my attention span, unless I have been hit in the face with inspiration or am making one with a particular person in mind. I like to make fabric postcards and fabric and thread embellished greeting cards.
I have taken violin and piano lessons my entire childhood and now play just for pleasure. Thrilled that my 10-year-old now plays violin and is very good and she loves playing!!
I love animals. I don't know how this happened, but my favorite animals are squirrels (other than my beloved cats and dog). I feed birds, squirrels, whatever comes into my backyard. My girls call me Snow White because I love woodland animals and I have black hair...lol...I love colorful flowers. I love being outdoors with my kids. I love going to lakes - it is such a beautiful area. I like history and visiting historical places. I love going to NYC, central park, walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. I am not Italian at all, but love the Italian culture, food, everything Italian! (I have an Italian last name because I married an Italian... go figure...) I have some items in my kitchen of those quirky fat Italian chefs, but they have been around for awhile and I will be getting rid of them soon
My girls and I love the beach and vacationing at the Jersey Shore (Wildwood Crest).
I love kites and flying kites. I love growing and smelling lavender. I love growing and smelling herbs. Right now in my garden I have mint, basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme...
I love ANYTHING Halloween!!!!! But the only skull I like is Jack from Nightmare before Christmas.
I am currently in school to get a Paralegal degree and I like it very much.
Favorite Music
Favorite music: I am a rocker at heart. I love Green Day, Muse, AFI, Beatles... list is too long to finish. I love, love, love Danny Elfman's music. I love Stephen Sondheim's musical creations.
Favorite Books
Right now I am reading A Civil Action for my Paralegal Tort class. I love it. It is based on a sad, but true story. Love historical fiction.
Favorite Movies
Fiddler on the Roof, Sweeney Todd (favorite movie and Broadway play), Sound of Music... I love Tim Burton and Nightmare before Christmas.
Favorite Television
I love Big Bang Theory, People's Court, Cash Cab, Wife Swap, Biggest Loser is amusing, Everybody Hates Chris....
Favorite Crafts
Sewing crafts, fabric, embroidery, thread... anything like this to make it pretty and to give it depth... I like bright, cheerful colors. Some of my favorite fabric swatches right now are ones that have several bright patterns and colors.
