The power and grandeur of waterfalls have always fascinated me and given me such a feeling of energy. They quite literally uplift me. The first pic is Granite Falls in the Pacific NW. You may have been there. I have shared a couple of quite amazing experiences here upon a ledge next to the falls. This next pic is of Iquazu Falls in South America. It is said to be the largest/longest falls in the world. Doesn't it look amazing?! I can almost feel the rumbling and rush of the waters as they move and fall. I would dearly love to visit them sometime before I leave this earth walk.
As a child, and a couple of times as an adult, I dreamed of a place of rushing rivers where the rivers would cross at right angles to each other. At the intersections where the rivers crossed, the waters would bubble up and sparkle with light as they mixed with each other before going their own way again. The energy at these points was thrilling and joyful. While the physics of this world doesn't allow for rivers to cross in this particular manner, in that dream space they did so. And the experience walking the rivers was quite extraordinary! I long to return there someday.
Sue, you are probably aware that places east of us are ahead of us in time (could make an interesting sci-fi story), sh while this says I'm posting on the 16th it's actually the 15th here. . . Renee'
Hi Sue! These are pics of 2 of my very favorite places, both give me a feeling of transcendence. One is Mt. Shasta with lenticular clouds and the other is Mt. Rainier as seen from my kitchen window at sunset. Mountains have always given me a wondrous feel, just looking at them, but also being upon them. My mother spent part of her childhood at the foot of Mt. Shasta. The tales that are told of it are mystical and many! Rumors that little people live upon it - my mom spent many an hour looking for their tiny pots and pans. Stories that some of the survivors of Atlantis came to live upon the mountain. Tiny lights seen blinking on at very points on the mount's sides. And the lenticular clouds that are seen very few places in nature - Mt S & Mt R both are graced with their beautiful presence. At a workshop on Mt S I was graced to be led through one of the volcanic tubes within the mountain. Pure awesomeness, especially when the group of us extinguished our flash lights - total darkness - deep silence - sacred space - and then we each passed fire light from candle to candle between us. Words cannot express the feeling as the person beside me took my hand and all of our hearts opened to each other. And Mt. Rainier - I am graced to live at its feet and to delight in it each clear day. Thank you for letting me share this with you. . . Renee'
