Re felting... a friend & I have both been experimenting with machine felting and have had good results. Here's the deal: 1, Use 100% sheep's wool yarn; 2, Knit or crochet fairly tightly; 3, Make whatever it is a little bigger to allow for shrinkage; 4, Put it in a pillow case, and wash it in the washing machine a couple of times in hot water; 5, block it while wet.
For our machine felting experiment, my friend made a Moebius cat bed. She's such an overachiever.
For my experiment, I made a rectangle. On a knitting board. I did use some gorgeous sheep's wool yarn from Uruguay. I folded it in half and used the same yarn to whip the 2 short sides closed. Then I machine felted it. Since I used a knitting board, it knit up really thick and tight, and felted, it's as heavy as a boiled wool jacket (maybe heavier). My plan is to make a linen lining & add a zipper across the top so I can use it as cosmetic or pencil bag.
If you give machine felting a try, let me know how it goes.
Purple clothes were a staple when I taught -- I look great in it, even under those hideous fluorescent lights -- so amethyst jewelry is one of my faves as well.
Do you pair amethyst with other stones? The yin-yang balance of complimentary colors really appeals to me, so not long ago I bought some amethyst & citrine to make some purple & yellow jewelry. Next, I want to try amethyst & peridot -- love that combo too.
Strange, I was sitting here eating my cheese and out of nowhere the bulb above me head lit up and my brain screamed, "Chappykat!!"
Were the gummies any good? I know you don't like Amer candy, but I thought. They're pomegranate white tea gummy bears!! I noticed they were made with organic sugar. My mom's not into candy but she dug those.
Today I had to call a Customer Support Center for website problems at work. The on-hold music, which I was unfortunately treated to for about 45 minutes, was Enya MUZAK. Enya MUZAK??!!?? I don't get it. Is it that regular Enya is just too hard for some people???

The site you gave me, the powder's not found there?
I found 'em at AJ's! Question: You mentioned a vanilla powder to add to jasmine tea. Where can that be found?
