I'm a 30-something chica in the Texas hill country and work as an advocate for museums. I call myself an artist sometimes - not as much recently though. As indicated by the handle I'm kind of a gypsy. I travel a lot for work and recreation. I move house far more frequently than is reasonable too - over 14 times in the past 10 years. My spirit is restless. I share my life with two tiny bouncy doggies and a gorgeous mad sculptor guy. I like cooking, but I'm not great at it yet. I'd love to take some cooking classes. In fact, I love taking classes in general. If I won the lottery I'd probably become a professional student, wandering the globe from college to college taking classes. I'm addicted to learning new things. I've tried gardening, but I have black thumbs of death. I've killed every plant I've ever gotten - even cactus. It's really sad. I want to learn to sew my own clothing eventually. Most of what is currently "fashionable" just seems boring and poor quality. I find myself constantly drawn to junk shops and old stuff in general. I have this fear of the Grown-up Police showing up on my doorstep one Saturday morning while we're watching cartoons and eating artifically flavored cold ceral and dragging me away for non-compliance of some mature behavior requirements law. I like celebrating as many holidays as possible. Christmas, Halloween, and New Years are wonderful, but Dia de los Muertos is my favorite! I'm allergic to Johnson Grass and maybe crayfish and lobsters. I hate hot weather. I'm fascinated by the idea of letterboxing/geocaching, but have never tried it. My favorite colors are lavender/periwinkle/skyblue. I love the smells of sandlewood, pipe tobacco,cardemom, copal,apples,leatherand amber resin. Favorite books are: Imagine a Day, Imagine a Night, Wicked, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, Job a Comedy of Justice, The Neverending Story and any kind of fairy tales. I'll also read anything by Connie Willis, Laurel K. Hamilton, Edward Gorey,Harlan Elison, HP Lovecraft, and Tom Robbins. I have never had the patience to enjoy bubblebaths. I collect...
