I feel for you with your depression as I have a son who suffers from mental illness too and it can be hard on family members so I say to you to enjoy all the good days you have and maybe write a journal so you have these wonderful memories to look back on to help you come out of the dark places. I too enjoy crochet but can only do the basics and can't read a pattern lol. I am an animal lover too, I have only one cat now as her mother died earlier this year, three guinea pigs now as their mother and sister died 2014 and a rescue budgie I got from my sister in law who is much happier now she is with us.
