I'm an office manager in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Every day I come home to my man, my son, my pitbull and my snake. That pretty much takes up all of my time. Except when there's a good concert to go to...
What I don't like may take up less room. I'm an '80s kid, so I still listen to classic metal (Queensryche, Motley Crue, Triumph, Motorhead, Dio, etc.) and hair bands (Whitesnake, Poison, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, etc.) new wave (Duran Duran, Bauhaus, Yaz, etc.) and old school rap (N.W.A., Run DMC and Public Enemy). Who else? Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, Tom Petty, Rush, Journey, The Roots, Dropkick Murphys, Foo Fighters, Neil Diamond, Ted Nugent, Pantera, Muse, Black Keys, Radiohead, John Legend...
Pretty much everything by Alfred Hitchcock, David Lynch, John Hughes, John Waters, P.T. Anderson and Joel and Ethan Coen. Again with the '80s - classic horror like "Halloween", "Friday the 13th", "Nightmare on Elm Street", "Last House on the Left", etc. No westerns or musicals, though. Okay, Rocky Horror and Grease are the only musicals I can watch. "Fight Club", "Amelie", "Blazing Saddles", "Star Wars" Trilogy (the first ones, you know the ones that were really last, but came out first? Yeah, those.)
Since I don't get to watch too many things "live", I like anything that shows up on On Demand. CSI Miami and Vegas, Family Jewels, Intervention, Rob & Big. I am going to try my very best to catch every episode of Hell's Kitchen this season.
The Time Traveller's Wife, The Kite Runner, Choke, A Thousand Splendid Suns (still working on this one...) Sue Grafton books (although I'm afraid I left off around "I" or "J", I've got some catching up to do.)
