I have made a very difficult decision. I will be leaving Swap-bot after my swaps and ratings are completed. I will continue crafting and creating but on a more personal level. I am a retired teacher aide in junior high. I substitute teach in my local school district as often as I can. I have a B.S. in Education and am certified to teach junior high-high school. I have three children and six grandchildren. I live in a very small community, but have spent several years in Georgia and North Carolina.

PERSONAL GOALS

To slow down when creating. I am not a mass producer. A few of something I really like is enough.

To continue to try new techniques especially with the APC swaps. I am far from an expert at distress oxides, watercolors, alcohol inks, and gelli prints, but I like making a mess trying.

I have started making my own journals, so I now have somewhere to put my swap items. New goal is to make an idea book.

*Gardening - Love flowers and have a small garden- mostly tomatoes.

*Shopping-I enjoy searching through craft clearance and visiting thrift and resale stores. I have a local thrift store which donates monies to homeless shelter.

*IF I COULD HAVE: I would like to own everything by Tim Holtz especially all the distress oxide colors, stencils and stamps. Oh! And his paper pads! Also, I have fallen into the Iron Orchid Designs rabbit hole. Love their transfers and molds.

I have met some very lovely swappers on this site. Even though we haven’t met in person, I feel I have friends here. I have been given encouragement, advice, and have received swaps and goodies that have brought tears of joy to my eyes. It can be a very special place!

I love to create but sometimes have no one to share anything with so I thought a swap group would be the answer. I really am enjoying the fact that I can pick and choose my interests and when I want to swap. I love the mail when it arrives and the beautiful creations made for me. I love trying new things to create as long as I can view a picture or tutorial.
