I'll have to look for it, but I have the perfect thing I can email you!!! I purchased a magazine a couple of years ago that has a crochet pattern in it for Smurf slippers! It's an older magazine, from the 80s I think. Here's an image of them. I have the images scanned on my computer, but I'm at my parents now. If I don't have it scanned, I'll make a copy of it and mail it to you.

did you learn to crochet on your own? i saw your post about the messed up ami in the forum and i am blown away by how incredible you amigurumi are. people have tried teaching me how to crochet but i just cant wrap my head around it. maybe because i am left handed and everyone whos tried teaching me was right handed. anyways, just thought id compliment you, since you were feeling down about the misfit ami. hope you have a great weekend :)
