I am a Graphic Design student that is still in love with snail mail. I love handwriting letters and receiving surprises in the mail. I still write letters to my friends who are in different provinces here in Canada.

I adopted two cats from a cat shelter and they offer me inspiration and endless entertainment with their daily adventures.

INTERESTS: I love photography, illustration, drawing, and painting but my all time favourite thing is typography. I love words and have always enjoyed reading. A beautiful typographic quote always lifts my spirits.

COLOURS: My favourite colours are purple, blue, and turquoise. I also like the earth tone palettes and pastels.

I have a broad range of music I listen to from Brad Paisley to Daft Punk and John Mayer. Right now I am in love with Brandi Carlile and Serena Ryder.

My favourite all time book is "The Hobbit". Followed by Barbara Hodgson's mysterious travel adventure "Hippolyte's Island".

I also love the "Griffon and Sabine" series by Nick Bantock which inspired me to follow my love of art and motivated my creativity. It also fueled my love of mail and sending art through the mail.

Similar to my music tastes, I also love a broad range of movies. I am always up for a good drama but I enjoy comedies and thrillers. Some of my favourite movies are "Dead Poets Society", "Old School", the Transformers series and the Lord of the Rings series including the latest movies of The Hobbit. I loved Smaug!

I love AMC. I have often said if I had to choose one channel, it would be AMC. My favourite shows are: Breaking Bad (still sad it is gone) Mad Men Walking Dead

I also am a sucker for a good reality show. So I still watch Survivor and Big Brother. Since I am Canadian I am really into this season's BB Canadian show.

Since I am a Graphic Designer, I tend to want to make all my art digital but I almost always start with my hands with a drawing, sketch, or painting.

I love paper. I hoard paper. Especially scrap booking paper but I only made one scrapbook for my best friend's wedding so I never use it for scrap booking.

I enjoy collage but I am new to it so have not been able to explore it much which is why I am hoping to improve my technique through some ACT swaps.

Designing postcards is my "thing". It perfectly combines my love of art, technology, and old school mail. So I have a blog where I have challenged myself to make 100 different postcard designs. You will likely see some that are inspired by creative swaps here.
