Favorite Music

A little bit of everything really except country (I make allowances for Dolly Parton). Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osborne, AC/DC, White Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Lady Gaga, Pussycat Dolls, Katy Perry, P!nk, Dresden Dolls, Amanda Palmer, Lily Allen, Kate Miller-Heidke, Ida Maria.

Favorite Books

Currently attempting to read my way through the Australian Angus and Robertson top 100 stories and really enjoying the diversity on reading that brings. Long time favourites include Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, James Patterson's Alex Cross series and the Harry Potter series. Pretty much if it has words I'll read it.

Favorite Movies

Breakfst at Tiffanys, Sweet Home Alabama, Dirty Dancing, Pride and Prejudice, Pirates of the Caribean Trillogy, The Game, Legally Blonde.

Favorite Television

Supernatural, House, NCIS, Life on Mars, Life, Numbers, Lie to Me

Favorite Crafts

Knitting, Crochet, Cross Stitch, Sewing, Long Stitch. Thanks to Swap-Bot I am currently embarking on my first Patchwork project (snaps to @Olga for starting the 12 months of 9 patch swap) and so far I seem to be doing pretty well. Of course, I have only sewn a few blocks and haven't even attempted backing yet so watch this space.

About Me

I live in Brisbane with my Mum, Brother and The Worlds Cutest Puppy (even if she is already 10 years old). I work Full-Time for one of the "Big 4" banks as a Personal Banking/Lending specialist in their national call centre. It's monotmous work, but, it pays the bills. I love to read but never seem to have the time and am notorious for starting but not finishing craft projects of various kinds. As my profile name suggests I am obsessed with Tinkerbell if I could work out how to shrink 1/2 an inch I would look into fulfilling my dream of being Tink at Disneyland for a day! I'm currently loving Victoria Frances' artwork and love gothic related bits and pieces.

Miscellaneous

I decided to add this section to answer I few questions I have found myself being asked by fellow swappers and said to myself, "self, you should put that in your profile to save these wonderful swappers some time"

Colours

I'm pretty easy in this regard so if you are sending me something and it is not an unusal abstract variation on a colour (eq asparagus as a form of green) I will most often like it. I am particularly fond of pink, black and red.

Patterns etc.

Anything retroish, funky, unusual, quirky - you get the idea. I am not a big fan of "curtain florals" (you know the ones they look like your Nan would hang them in her windows), cats or sports. If it has Disney Tinkerbell on it I will love it. Also a big fan of Dopey from Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.I also love oriental looking pieces especially Japanese designs that one would imagine seeing on a Geisha's Kimono.

Foods

I live in Australia and we have the most ridiculously strict import/postage laws. This means that while I love hot chocolate, alas you can't send me any :( ditto for tea & coffee (I don't actually drink coffee but it's still on the no send list). I don't eat seafood in any form as it makes me ill. I LOVE to cook and am always looking for interesting new recipes to try, especially stuff that is traditional with lots of flavour (I recently learned to make Veal Parmigiana for my brother for his birthday - it was a major success).

THINGS I AM CURRENTLY SEARCHING FOR

I am always on the look out for good traditional recipies but am particularly seeking; proper Indian Butter Chicken proper Tandoori Ice cream recipies of any kind Recipies to use in a Tagine Japenese curry recipie (I'm not sure of the name I think it's Curry Soba but I particularly want the recipe that smells like an asian spice shop not very helpful I know but if you can find me one I wil love you forever.)

April 7th 2010

I have noticed that a few of my parcels do not seem to have arrived. I must appologise to anyone who has not received a parcel from me, I have been unwell and had given the parcels to my mum to send. I will check with her that she got them to the post and resend anything that hasn't yet been received.

It was fun reading how did you spend your days on the other side of the world and so much fun finding little suprises. You should eat your candy because I throw it away,to much time pass by,that's way I don't like it in the mail =o).Happy swapping.

Comment: Swap was marked sent a week late, but it's now been 4 weeks since even that date and nothing received. You haven't answered my email either. I hate it when people mark things sent when they haven't been.

Comment: I will rate you a five because you were sick but was hoping for red/black .white blocks. Some people dont have those colors and I understand But I am not sure you even looked. The blocks were beautiful anyway and I will find some where to use them someday and hope you are feeling better. Thanks for not flaking on us!
Response: I appreciate that you were looking for particular colour blocks, however, this swap is senders choice which is exactly why I signed up for it. I live in an area where good quality patchwork fabric is not always easily available and I would not send inferior quality fabric.

Comment: Thankyou for the effort you went to with this swap. I do so wish I could crochet, but there is a very sad story attached to my one and only attempt to learn and it has quite a bit to to with the number of thumbs that suddenly appear on my hands when I attempt crochet!
Response: My pleasure. I had a wonderful time making them.
