I live high in the Sangre de Cristo mountains in Southern Colorado. I love the magnificent views here, the clean thin air, the quietness.I don't work now, but I worked for 19 years in my and my husband's business as art director. Now I am DOING the art! I spend a lot of time at my art table and am really enjoying having the freedom to do that.I get together with a group of girlfriends once a week and we eat, knit, drink good wine, make jewelery and laugh a lot. I love to travel, read and poke around in flea markets and junk shops for collage material.

classic rock, some soft rock, Nora Jones, blues, country, the Eagles, music from Cape Verde, Latin...just to name a few types. You gotta have the right music at the right time.

Out of Africa, most all English period movies, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, White Oleander. I can never remember the names of ones I like! But I love movies and between Netflix, Pay Per View, and Tivo keep well supplied.

House, Big Love, Weeds, The Closer, The Shield, Barefoot Contessa, The Sopranos. I watch the series I like at the end of the season when I order the entire season from Netflix and enjoy a marathon!

My favorite thing is doing collage and various mixed media projects: making ATC's, little books, journals, cards, etc. I also enjoy knitting and am learning to embroidery so I can embellish things. I like making jewelery. I love beads! I'm trying to sew plushies right now. They look kind of rough, but it's fun. I'll list a few likes and dislikes below like others have. One of the most fun parts of swapping is tailoring my packages to a particular person's likes and activitivities. Its nice to get a thoughtful gift.

LIKES: Rich, luscious color. There isn't a color I don't like.Rich pinks, reds, greens and blues, mellow oranges even black and white.I use lots of paper and fabric, trims and odds and ends in my pieces. Big bold patterns, small bold patterns, texture, polka dots, fabric, ribbon, velvet, all kinds of collage stuff, yarn, beads,paper, glitz, ethnic patterns (Mexico, Africa, Eastern Europe, etc) dogs, the ocean, embellishments, a little mystical, copies of tutorials, women portrayed in art, an offbeat approach, birds, horses, stars, trees, cowgirls, Bloomsbury (not the cartoon!), tut, things from the 30's and 40's. little tiny things, writing, letters, flowers. Just to name a few of my favorite things. Ha! Oh, surprises can be fun too.

DO NOT LIKE...there isn't a lot I don't like. I don 't like really "cutsie" kinds of things, Hello Kitty, Japanese animation, washy, soft pastels.Not crazy about "goth" style. I don't especially like fabric with figures on it..you know like cats or toys.That's about it...I'm easy.
