Favorite Music

I am 26 and live in Tasmania, Australia. I have lived here since I was four apart from a brief year and a bit in Canberra to study. I am currently at university studying Archaeology and hope for this to lead to a career working in museums around the world. As of next year I will be studying Chinese(Mandarin) as it is a dream of mine to live and work in Taipei, the museums look amazing and Asian culture and archaeology interests me. I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters. I come sixth in the list :) I have a 15 month old puppy named Achilles who is the most beautiful Maltese x Shitsu you'll ever see (according to me of course).

I have very wide ranging tastes when it comes to music. No one particular style is my favourite if I hear something and start bopping my head to it and it makes me feel something then I like it :) In my playlist at the moment there is everything from Linkin Parks latest offering and Breaking Benjamin to The Gambler by Kenny Rogers and several Japanese and Taiwanese pop songs ;)

My Uni studies take up most of my reading time of late but when I do read I like adventurous stories, Wilbur Smith is a favourite and I intend to read his latest in the Eqyptian Series; The Quest.

I have a couple of favourite movies The Great Train Robbery (in my opionion an absolute adventure classic) and for a change of pace Boondock Saints is a bit of fun (if you can get past the language). Lately I have taken to watching movies from Japan, Taiwan and Korea (subtitled of course) and these have proven to be a lot of fun. Although a number of the Korean ones lose me plot wise. I don't know whether it is in the translations or just me not being quick enough to catch onto what is happening, none the less they are fun and I believe that there is nothing comparable in western movies, the sense of humour is just so different.

Along the same lines as with movies I have been watching a lot of Japanese and Taiwanese television dramas. These are hilarious. I have never laughed so much as I do when watching these shows, if you've never seen one you should definately give it a go. My sister, my niece and I watch them together and have heaps of fun. The first one I ever saw was Hana Kimi and so this is a favourite but I also liked Hana Yori Dango from Japan. I am really a bit old for this kind of stuff but they are so fun to watch.

I love to make things and at one stage worked with warm glass. I made clocks and photo frames selling them at markets and using them for gifts. I also made a few coffee tables with leadlight tops, one featuring a glass Monopoly board complete with houses and hotels. I also love to make jewelery and table top pieces working with any material I find at the time of inspiration.

I guess that's about all except I really look forward to participating in a lot of swaps and having fun. Thanks for reading, Naiee.
