About Me

Let's see... I'm a mother to 3 little girls (K, A, & H.) I had the youngest 2 at home (on purpose) and I'm married to the love of my life and sweetheart. I spent 4 years in the military and got out honorably after my term. I love all different types of crafting. I especially like antiqueing and grunging things up, making little scrapbooks with dangly charms, sewing and making patterns for dolls and kids toys. I make cards and I did digital scrapbook designing for some time. I love natural, recycled and thrift things and giving them new life (repurposing).

I create digital scrapbooking (often), alter books & scrapbook (anytime), cross stitch (not often - hard with little ones), embroider (not often (need transfer stuff/paper/pen etc), stamp (anytime), make cards (often), make clay beads (not often), hemp jewelry (sometimes), recycle stuff (whenever I can), craft with my kids (very often), and sew dollies and animals and baby things (very often).

I grew up riding horses and playing softball, doing water sports and camping. I've always been a Tomboy but I think it's less apparent nowadays. I have 2 brothers, one older, one younger. I'm an outgoing & adventurous type of person. Oh, I don't like to cook really, but I do anyway, always in need of a healthy yet SUPER easy recipe to help me along! haha ha. My daughter is a little chef though :) She gets it from my husband! I'm VERY straight forward (as if you couldn't tell by now)

Let's see, how long can this list get???

I am a very PRACTICAL person. If it is something that can be used for making something else, then it will probably be a total hit!

I pretty much like everything :) anything that is eye catching or artsy! So I would love to see your art, something made just the way YOU like to make it.

I LOVE all things red APPLES!! My whole kitchen is decorated with them.

Fat quarters are awesome too :)

I LOVE vintage things!! Very old & vintage books ;) vintage fabrics, vintage ribbons, vintage patterns, vintage cards, note cards, ephemera, vintage jewelry, vintage green :)

Also, little vintage charms from yard sale bracelets and earings, buttons, watch peices/parts and embelishments. Things that can be used on a variety of crafts are fab!

Little metal objects and trinkets, watch parts, steampunk etc.

Things used in new and innovative ways.

Antiqued things, grunged, aged, altered :) any ephemera, old postcards, old stamps

Shabby things

Homemade things!!!!

Bohemian, grunge or elegant style things (kind of an eclectic mix)

oh and the colors you see together in nature! example: beach beige and dk ocean blue with light sky blue or wheat field tan with hay field green and tree bark browns or sunset orange and yellow with red... snow capped mountain white with sky blue and distant mountain purple... etc etc... could go on forever!

I think my most favorite color of all time is lavendar (with cream too) but I rarely use it in papercrafts.

anything nature and/or woodland...butterflies, bumble bees, dragon flies, leaves, flowers, birds, nests, eggs, fairies, owls,deer/doe, bunnies, and also angels, mermaids,

:) BUTTONS (all sorts, totally addicted), rainbows, damask patterns

I love loose tea- jasmine tea, peach tea, peppermint tea, almond tea, apple cinnamon tea and more :) (NO GREEN TEA PLS)

I have 3 little girls that love to swim, craft, cook, read and cut things into little bitty peices, oh and stickers. They love dogs, they have two little schnauzers. They love pink, and they love their baby sister and dolls and things - anything for them (no candy please).

Dislikes

I DONT care for candy, stuffed animals, TV show themed items, state themed items, things that smell of smoke, college stuff, pet stuff.

I don't care for black tea, chocolate tea, caramel tea, or green tea, ginger tea, or earl grey tea and I prefer no caffeine, but drink caffeinated once in a while.

I don't care for blood and gore scary movies, but I do like suspense, drama and comedy. I don't really watch TV much.

My Husband

My husband doesn't understand all this swapping stuff so if you'd like to help keep the masses happy :)

HE LIKES: -cooking shows and learning new things -is learning piano -he LOVES to dive, dive bumper stickers, anything scuba diving related -Corona brand beer (once in a while) -he likes watches a ton, so anything steampunk he would love, ok that's me that loves steampunk, lol. -he likes tribal tattoo's and designs of that sort -we have a 66 mustang (which I grew up in) and we both love it (still needs fixin up) -he likes eagles (the birds) -likes rock music (and sometimes even christian rock) -likes blue and then red next -Dallas Cowboys and the Cardinals

what else...He's an awesome Daddy! best in the world, is the manager of the meat dept., is able to fix cars, hates tea, loves camping :)

Comment: beautiful postcard!...like the poem too...
Response: Hi there, glad you liked it, I did try hard to antique it and make it so you might like it. I didn't have access to my full stash (out of town) so it wasn't as easy as I usually find it to be. After I sent them out, I thought it would have been nicer to put the poem on the front! Oh well, maybe next time!

Comment: Did you perchance read carefully through my profile before creating this lovely postcard? Because between the cranberry flowers, sepia distressing, bronze embellishments, AND a tag.... I couldn't have asked for a lovelier piece. And then the poem, with its beginning line, was so relevant to me as a bard who writes for the Santharian Dream, and, having hit her fortieth, asks some of the same questions re potentia! Thank you!
Response: Hehehe... Thank you so much for the wonderful comments. I am SO happy that you liked it, and I did appreciate the wonderful digital poem that you made me before! We must be tuned into each other :) After I sent the poems I realized I could have put the poem on the front...oh well :) I am super glad it made it there in one peice with all the chunkiness of it :) and that you liked it!

I look forward to adding your Written Poem Postcard to my Postcard Collection. More importantly, I look forward to adding your poem to my poetry collection with your name on it and that it came from a Swap partner. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Comment: Thank you for the extra special envelope! If I could give you more than one heart I would. I truly appreciate the effort you put in. I wanted to let you know that I am in the middle of dying one of the stamped fabric pieces. It defeats the purpose of the acid free ink but it will make a wonderful background for an ATC or visual journal.
Response: I'm so glad you found something for your muse :) This was my first swap - I sent the same package out to all 4, was about to give up on swapping but then I got a heart from you, so thank you thank you thank you - because of you, I'll try again!

Thanks so much for your link and comment on ADHD and diet. I will check into that! I am always looking for alternatives for my son and hope that it provides me with new info on the matter. Thanks for thinking about us!
