6-INCH (15.25cm) FABRIC SQUARES #1--FOOD What can you make with 6inch (15.25cm/153mm) squares of fabric? Well, for starters, how about coasters; 9-patch and log cabin quilt blocks; iPod cozies; sachets; quilted eyeglass case; pet toys; doll clothes and quilts; Fairy clothes and FAIRY QUILTSรขโยข. (See my separate swaps for FAIRY QUILTSรขโยข and GIFTS FOR MY HOUSE FAIRYรขโยข and FABRIC COASTERS.) Let your imagination run wild! Throughout 2008, I will be hosting themed 6-INCH FABRIC SQUARES swaps. The FABRIC SQUARES swap will be coordinated to precede a same-themed FABRIC COASTERS swap one month later. You will have ONE swap partner, and you will send your partner 24 6-INCH (15.25cm/153mm) FABRIC SQUARES. The fabric must be 100% cotton, and can be novelty, print, solid, tonal, floral, etc., as long as it matches the specified theme. The theme for this first swap is FOOD. So any fabric that is food-related qualifies. You can send up to 4 6-inch/153mm squares from the same piece of fabric, which means that you will need a minimum of 6 different fabrics from which to cut your squares, or you can send all different fabric squares with no duplicates if you'd like. But please, no more than 4 6-inch/153mm squares from the same fabric. As always, I allow high quality swappers only. Because of past swap hosting experience, I do not allow newbies in my swaps. I'm sorry. But this won't be the last 6-INCH/153mm FABRIC SQUARES swap I host. So if you are new, go, get experience, and watch for a later 6-INCH/153mm FABRIC SQUARES swap! ALSO, be sure to check out my separate swap for FABRIC COASTERS as well as FAIRY QUILTSรขโยข and GIFTS FOR MY HOUSE FAIRYรขโยข! And watch for additional 6-inch/153mm FABRIC SQUARES swaps throughout 2008! BECAUSE THIS IS SMALL AND LIGHTWEIGHT, I WILL ALLOW INTERNATIONAL. If you keep the entire envelope thickness to less than 1/4 inch (5mm or .5cm), I think it can be mailed without a customs form. I'm not certain that 24 fabric squares will be able to be mailed without a customs form, though. If someone wants to sign up but the international aspect is a hindrance for whatever reason, message me privately (not through the comments section) and we'll work something out. AS ALWAYS, BE SURE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE. And most of all, HAVE FUN! HAPPY SWAPPING! |
