Description:

US and Canada only please!

With all of the "tea" swaps on swap bot I was thinking why not a tea cup swap. I noticed that all of my cups are "coffee mugs" and nothing really for tea. We will have 1 partner to send a tea cup to. It can be beautiful, unique, big, small, different...

As an added bonus let's try and fill it full. Not required but fun. Fillings can be things like tea bags, candy, a cd to listen to while drinking tea :), a letter or card, atc's. I could go on but I think you get the idea.

Hope to see everyone at the tea party!!

Do participants need a minimum rating to play along? I'm game if that's the case. M.e.

fairykiss 10/ 4/2006 #

Here is how I'm going to work that... I don't care if you don't have a rating yet, but if you don't send then you will be banned from future swaps that I do. If anyone wants to sign up than please do so, just make sure that you send something. Other people spend time and money to send you stuff so the respect should go out as well.

fairykiss 10/ 4/2006 #

Oh, I will be checking to see if there are more than 2 no sends and those people will be banned.

I collect tea cups and this will be so much fun. I have enough mugs, so adding to my small collection of teacups will be fun.

Is this swap international as well? I'd love to join it, but I've spent a small fortune on foreign postage ($14 to ship the last small teacup I mailed out to Sweden! and that was just the postage!) and I also haven't received anything in 50% of the swaps I've signed up for, even though I've put a lot of time, thought, and money into what I've sent out. So if it's international, I'm just not going to be able to sign up.

I limited this swap to US and Canada.

I've gotta start drinking more tea, got lots of coffee mugs. This sounds like a fun swap. By the way, can we add a saucer, matching or not? Just wondering. Thanks, Jessica

To my swap partner Elizabeth Campolo, just to let you know that your pkg. is on it's way to you, it was put in the mail at the post office today. You should recieve it hopefully by the weekend, or no later than the beginning of next week.

I received such a lovely and classy box of goodies yesterday from Su-Ying. It was much more than I was expecting - Chinese tea cups, Indian spices and recipe to make Chai tea and some postcards, including one from her photography Shotbox project. I will be enjoying everything for some time to come. Thank you so much, Su-Ying!

Hi-Recieved my teacup & teas on 10-04-06. Thank you.

user4084 11/12/2006 #

I'm glad you liked it Kika! It's more difficult to put something together for a swap than I imagined. I end up thinking obsessively about whether they'll like it.

3 weeks after swap date and my partner still has not sent beside her name. It would be nice to at least hear from lizzystars.

user4265 11/19/2006 #

how disappointing. This was my first swap here - I sent my partner a lovely package I would have loved to have kept for myself & now I see that she has not sent any of her partners in previous swaps anything at all. Looks like I'm in the same boat. A lot of money gone for nothing!

user4084 11/22/2006 #

Simply Sweet, too bad we got the 2 deadbeats but, other swaps I've participated in have worked out. I feel bad that this is your first swap.

How can someone call themselves swapqueen if they never actually give a swap? A name change is due?
