For each county @MichelleWillow and @newrule would include:
- coins samples
- postage stamps, air mail stickers (used or unused is fine as long as they are not damaged)
- few postcards (capital city, national parks, flags, regions, traditions, festivals, endemic animals / plants, etc. - what you can find)
- magnet (not ceramic or glass please!)
- map / city guides (usually can be found at tourist office for free)
- few small souvenirs (traditional, handmade, not looking for commercial stuff)
- tourist pamphlets about country or culture (usually can be found for free at tourist office)
- book or newspaper page with sample of language
- letter explaining / describing sent items
- 5 of your favorite traditional recipes (can be on recipe card or free form writing, just nothing too spicy, this will be served to kids!)
- sample of alphabet (can be handwritten or printed)
- CD with mixed music - both traditional and modern on your language
- something else of interest of both partners we agree upon depending on specific country
