Description:

[Note, I've edited the swap - see italicized wording under bullet item #4.]

In this swap, to each of your 2 partners, you will write and send a fun mini letter in a mini handmade envelope. You will also include a mini surprise.

By mini, I mean roughly the size of an artist trading card (ATC): 2.5" x 3.5" (6.4 cm x 8.9 cm). It could be a little bigger and folded to still fit into the mini envelope. If you need a mini envelope template, click here: ATC Envie

Other important details:

  • If you choose to use plain paper, please decorate your mini letter and mini envelope. (You could also use colorful, decorative paper for both your letter and envelope.)
  • Please write on the front and back of your letter. If you want to fit a lot, you'll have to write small (smile). As an option, you could type your letter.
  • The mini surprise must be no larger than the mini envelope.
  • Please seal your letter in the mini envelope and put this into a larger envelope for mailing. Edited - The mailing envelope will need to meet the minimum size required by the postal service, which in the USA is 5" long x 3 1/2" high. (This mailing envelope can be store-bought or handmade, but if it's plain, you must decorate it - don't just add one rubber stamp or sticker and call it done – decorate with "wild abandon!" (Again, you could use colorful, decorative paper to make it.)
  • Have fun – make it something you would be happy to receive!
  • Newbies are welcome with a well filled out profile; everyone else, you must have a 4.9 rating with no 1s or 3s in the past three months without a good explanation.
  • I would appreciate it if no one would flake - it’s no fun to send mail and not receive anything back.

This sounds like so much fun :)

Sounds like fun but I'd be concerned with it getting lost in the post! Just as the postoffice has MAXIMUM limits, they also have mini limits ~ could/should it be posted in a larger envelope?

@kerrydwynn please see bullet item 4 above. You will put your mini envelope into a larger envelope for mailing. This larger envelope needs to meet the postal service minimum limit, which for the USA is 5" long x 3 1/2" high.

My post office lady said she would be afraid it would get lost too,she likes all the envies I send out and she suggested I put the small ones in larger ones.
